If Plant Man is anything to go off of, Star Man is probably gonna do well
@MegamanOmega1843 күн бұрын
For most of them, yeah. But I think Starman's gonna be a monster in this. He's basically everything Plantman's been doing, on steroids. His shield is significantly bigger and he jumps around a bunch towards the opponent while it's active. But most importantly, when he launches it, he tends to do so from mid-air and it's aimed as well. So a better chance to hit the opponent, and probably not get his in return. The rest however... yeah you're right. Stone, Charge & Gravity won't be doing well here. They don't fire much and rely more on contact damage to do anything. Wave will be a complete joke because his water is random, so he spends a lot of time open to attacks. Napalm & Gyro I think'll be interesting though. The former is incredibly aggressive in his attacks and the latter has long periods of time when he attacks from off screen, and I'm curious how his patterns would stack up.

I really don't expect any set of rm beat the top 3 (air, heat and crash) anytime soon, they just attack so frequently and every rm made after 2 has a least a little delay after an attack
@Hatchyack4 күн бұрын
I agree, MM2 is just crazy dominant (which makes Flash Man's existence all the more painful for him). It's been interesting watching these and noticing the overall differences between the RM sets. The RMs from 2 (and to a lesser extent 1) feel more like they are free willed beings, like Mega Man, I mean their body designs/sprites are even closer to Mega Man's. They seem much more reactive and strategic almost like an actual person is controlling them, whereas the RMs from 6 and now 3 feel more like these big clunky robots that are set in their ways and have weird little delays and quirks to their patterns. The MM2 RMs are like acrobats in power ranger suits while the MM6/MM3 RMs are like the animatronics at a Disney park.

@@Hatchyack This whole channel has made me rethink how I look at a robot master fight going and how they'd stack up to others. Cause the big thing is I feel is that it really comes down to contact damage. Cause I see exactly what you mean. Out of the first two series, Quickman's really the only one where the majority of his pattern is having his body be the deadly weapon (Heatman too, but since he's invulnerable when he does so, that's why he's so strong in these battles, and Quickman isn't). But most of the 1 & 2 Robot Masters are incredibly aggressive and fire _A LOT_ compared to latter bosses. Cause from 3 onward, I feel a majority of the Robot Masters got more bulky, but also a majority of their threat came from throwing their weight around. Shadow & Spark getting added to this really brought that to light, cause in MM3, the former is really hard to avoid, but in this he's hardly actually dealing damage, since he only occasionally uses his blades or slides. He spends more time jumping around. The same'll apply to Snake & Gemini, and the same goes for most of the 4-6 Robot Masters as well.

Note that he always high jumps to the ceiling to fire the missles, this is the only time he high jumps. - When the attack finishes he jumps twice again towards the far wall, and repeats.

I forgot that Magnet Man stops using his magnetism if he hits an enemy with it and with most Robot Masters running directly at the enemy at nearly all times it doesn’t actually do him many favors, despite being able to block projectiles. Honestly happy that he’s not another unstoppable beast and is just a Quick Man or Cut Man level mid tier Crystal Man was a surprise though, but im not surprised about how he did. I am a little perplexed as to why Magnet Man's magnet attack sometimes wears off really quickly without actually hitting the enemy. It feels as though it ends early because the coding thinks it hit the enemy, when it didn't? Also, hey, I like how competitive Crystal Man can be. He seems to suffer from the unfortunate condition that regular Guts Man has, however: he has two distinct moves and one of them is vastly superior to the other. Just like Guts Man can either jump (for no contact damage) or throw a boulder, Crystal Man can either throw a singular projectile that's likely to miss, or throw four bouncing projectiles that are almost guaranteed to hit once, sometimes twice. There's a lot of RNG involved as a result. I like him though! Looking forward to the very aggressive Charge Man and Needle Man!

Figure it's gotta be another MM3 RM. So what we have left is Hard Man, Snake Man, Needle Man, Gemini Man, and Magnet Man. Out of these I'm most excited for Magnet Man and Gemini Man. Magnet Man because I think he has potential to be another god tier, very mobile and spending a lot of his time at the top of the screen, shooting very quick projectiles that semi-home in, and when he is on the ground he's usually sucking you into his shield (is he truly invincible in this state or is it more like Wood Man's case where say an invincible dash attack or odd projectile could hurt him?) Gemini Man because of how bizarre it'll be. I have no idea what to expect. Could be one of the worst or one of the best or anything in between. Could be another dude that changes the meta, like Top Man, and demolishes god tiers while losing to lesser tiers. The remaining three I expect to be fairly mid tier like Shadow Man or Spark Man.
@Rakghe4 күн бұрын
What meta means here? Also Metal Man and Fire Man arent so mid, at best they are A, being Fire Man straightforward and Metal Man inconsistent, bc he can lose against C tiers Bomb Man and Centaur Man Also Magnet Man is truely invencible when he does the sucking move, there isn't a shield, but the moment he makes damage with it he cancels the attack and jumps near to the opposite wall
@Shadowflutter1964 күн бұрын

Well damn! I was wrong about Magnet Man. He's just... decent. Not great at all. Def nowhere close to god tier. At least he didn't have any 0-20 matchups even against Air Man and Heat Man so he's still no chump. Reflecting on why, seems his projectiles miss a lot more than I was expecting. Even though they have decent speed and aim down, I think the fact that they are always coming from the top of the screen gives the opponent enough time to walk away from the spot they are targeting, that plus he somehow ends up right above the opponent a lot of the time and then just shoots the magnets straight out into the ether. Also while his invincible field thing is pretty good he seems to end up trading blows a lot with it because he stops using it the moment the opponent is hit by it leaving himself as a really close target. I think Magnet Man would be more lethal if A. he shot the magnets from a slightly lower height (except against Air Man) and B. he kept his invincible field up for a set amount of time regardless of if the opponent gets hit by it. Not saying these should be implemented as he's already pretty good haha, just as a hypothetical.
