Thanks for sharing this! Of course, I'm seeing it over 3 years later. I haven't seen this item, so I had to go back and look at their kickstarter and found at least something close to this. I just got a tabletop dice tray and love it so far. It's fun to see the other stuff they've made.

Love the screen, better in landscape layout so GM's can see their player and table at the same time !!

This is so good. I wish they still offered it. I know they're doing a DM screen Kickstarter sometime in the near future, but I really hope the new screen is at least this good :/

The box is amazing! Love the middle with Map rotation! Just one minus for me that is huge ( I would feel behind a barrier to my players and to the gamemat as well. Happy with my small DmScreen and mine own made box/tray for my dice! But yours is way more ellegant and awesome 🤠🤜

For the dry erase "ghost" remnant marks try nail polish remover. I believe the acetone will help remove any leftover marking. I wouldn't recommend that for certain materials, but if this is truly bronze, I don't think there should be any issues.

Thanks for this review! i had been looking for one for a while. I have mine incoming but wanted to have a first look. Keep up the good work. A tip for the ending would be to have a slideshow of pictures in stead of the static picture with the message :p I actually thought the last image was a quite nice ending.

Seems like this DM Screen is for those DMs who don't want to see the Players

It's because he has it on portrait. If you're on a lower table it should be fine, I guess.

In the origin of D&D (and the creators still do this) they had an entire screen that completely blocked the DM kinda like a room divider so...

Just curious after all these years do you still like the GM screen? And I'm curious what's the w x l x h of the panels? And do they mag together for storage like they show in the wormwood video?
@ThePanoramicPanda3 жыл бұрын
I love it when I get to bust it out. I haven't had some in person gaming in a long while though (see the rest of my channel). Panels are 13-5/8" x 11-5/16" x 1". I don't think I've seen that? I just pull it all apart, store the magnets in on of the drawers, and stick it all back in the boxes.

I've switched to a landscape orientation now that I have a table that better supports it. I rarely find myself using the rotation feature, but overall I still love this screen.

How's the holding power with the magnets and ball bearings between screens? Those are some beefy wood screens do they feel wobbly in anyway? Cheers
@ThePanoramicPanda3 жыл бұрын
Once they're on, everything is super solid! The only part that feels a bit wobbly is if you're trying to spin the rotational screen, but even that is pretty solid.

@@ThePanoramicPanda thanks! So the hinge is neodymium magnets with a ball bearing that's removable?

@@handyhomebrewnetwork2142 Pretty much. Little ball magnets and the panels have magnetic screws in them.

I bet you paid a small fortune for the screen. Subsequently, the rotational screen seems paradoxical, in the fact that the map and dm stats are on opposite sides. What happens if you need the map without wanting players to look at the stats that are supposed to be hidden/private? Similarly, the double sided dice tower does seem a little inappropriate if you have more than 1 player. Of note, this screen does not arouse or encourage my enthusiasm as it seems plain and sterile, and a little less gimmicky though. However, I do like the idea of the screen you have purchased, yet for less money, you could have built one yourself saving you a lot of money in the process, whilst having the satisfaction of knowing you did it yourself. Anyway, if this tickles your fancy - I hope your satisfied with what you have and find many years of enjoyment from your screen. Cheers for the video bud :-)
@ifohancroft2 жыл бұрын
It's quite a bit later, so I am not sure if you'll see this. Why is the 2 way dice tower paradoxical if you have more than 1 player? Was your idea that the players are supposed to use that tower as well? The idea behind the 2 way dice tower is that the DM can either roll privately (e.g. without the players seeing) or publicly.

Wormwood products are extremely overpriced for what you get. Trivially easy to build something just as functional, if not more so, for a fraction of the price.

"the DM screen"? well ok. if you say so. it looks ok. but for my playstyle it would be too cumbersome for my play style. imagine carrying that, all the books, and minis and terrain to your games? wow. nice job, but no thank you.
