MAGNETIC HIJAB PINS: DO THEY WORK? FIRST IMPRESSIONS ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Asalamualaikum everyone! In today's video I will be testing out magnetic hijab pins. I've seen these magnetic hijab pins everywhere and I wanted to try them out. Overall, my first impression is that the magnets are really strong, but with the way I currently style my scarf it might not work for me. If you don't fold over your scarf before you frame it around your face I feel like it's worth trying. As someone who doesn't like to wear an underscarf on an everyday basis, folding over my scarf is a necessary step to keep it from slipping all day. Let me know if you currently use magnetic hijab pins! MAGNETIC HIJAB PINS ON AMAZON: amzn.to/2LbBQ2x FTC DISCLAIMER: I've included affiliate links in the description. Asalamu alaikum...how was the product (pins) quality in Amazon and Flipkart??
@neamatbadawy96935 жыл бұрын
Magnetic pins are made for the light silk scarves, so regular pin won't ruin them and magnet will stick perfectly with silk. They won't work with the cotton and thick scarves.

I am a new Muslim and wanted to try these when doing my hijab . This was helpful because I see them everywhere and was reluctant to buy them. However will give it a go . Thanks for an honest review. 👌

It might work better on a thinner fabric. But I think you're right that they wouldn't work under the chin, because of the stresses that happen there. Thanks for reviewing these.

Assalamualaikum, I usually use magnets. I have a number of them from Modanisa. They are strong magnets, though probably not strong enough to hold through many layers of fabric, if you fold in. I got some more magnets at a stand at RIS Convention this year, and another sister asked me about them. I said I like them, but she seemed doubtful, responding "But I like it TIGHT." Lol, guess mine wasn't *tight* enough for her standards...But then I got those magnets home and they didn't work at all, because the magnets were weaker. Also, we were just talking about these magnets a few weeks ago at a sister's self defense workshop. A number of us (trainers) have adjusted our hijab styles and avoid pins (at the neck, especially) for safety reasons. There are lots of options.

💖 Walaikumaslam Katie! Thank you for sharing your magnetic hijab pin experiences! How was the RIS convention? I want to go in the future Inshallah.

MUSKA JAHAN I would recommend RIS. However, personally, the important conclusion I came to there was that I’m not big on “sage on the stage” type lectures and as an introvert, not big on large events in general. I did meet a few scholars I admire there and came away with a reading list. I live your idea in the other video about a book club.

I know they won't hold up my hijab either underneath my chin. But thanks for inviting us to see something different in modest fashion, I didn't know what these were either until now.I look forward to seeing your reviews☺

You can use rubber earring backers on safety pins to prevent snagging: themuslimgirl.com/hijabi-tips-homemade-no-snag-hijab-pins/

I don't pin hijab under my chin. I use a bonnet like the sister on the video so I bring one loose end of the hijab under my chin and pin it with a straight pin on the bonnet on the opposite side of my head (near the ear) than on which side it hung - so if I use the left-side hanging end then I pin it on the right side of my head and vice versa, and then I bring the other loose end under my chin and over my head and pin it with a straight pin on the side and on top of my head. I never use safety pins as they damage the scarves.

i've definitely used the magnets for draping and they worked perfectly with most styles, but not if you have lots of layers. and anyone who likes to secure part of their scarf to their clothes - be really careful when using these magnets for that because they're likely to fall apart if either your top or scarf gets tugged or moved. i usually do looser styles or turbans, so i haven't tried anything under the chin. but my curious brain was wondering if it would work and/or feel comfy if you put the magnets and material so that there's one in front of the other, rather than being on the sides? i would try but i need to order more magnets because i progressively lost whole pairs or a single half and now only have 1 half left 👎🏻 *jumps on ebay*

What’s the difference between a blog and a vlog

A blog is a website and a vlog is a combination of the words video and log, so a vlog is a video log.

I purchase magnetic pins and it didn't work. So sad I wasted money for 2 boxes. I thought it was good for my daughter who just started using the Hijab.
