Sir I thank you, I was ultra frustrated, until I found this video, now I am grinning from ear to ear. I am so relieve to finally understand this right hand rule, especially "coming out of the page".

on the last example, how did you end up with your palm facing to your left for the (-) charge particle?

Why is the force on the negatively charged particle in the opposite direction?

Sir i have a question.... A charged experences force only when it is in motion it is under the action of A.MAGNETIC FIELD B.ELECTRIC FORCE ONLY C.MAGNETIC OR ELECTRIC FORCE D.BOTH ELECTRIC AND MAGNETIC

Its charge in the statment not charged😉

The equation for the electric field is F = qE, no motion is necessary because v it is not in the equation. The equation for the magnetic field F = qvb, v is in the equation so a charged particle will only feel a force when it is in motion. So the answer is C. Does that help?

A moving charge is surrounded by how many fields ? 2 or 3
@stepbystepscience
@stepbystepscience 6 жыл бұрын
In these examples the charge is surrounded by 1 magnetic field.

Step-by-Step Science thanks but I'm asking generally . This was a question asked in ma entrance exam for Med . Generally talking r there 3 field I: e magnetic ,electric and Gravitational or 2 fields only mag and electric . Pls help me
@stepbystepscience

Yes, I would say there are three fields; gravitational, electric field and the magnetic field. Maybe in quantum mechanics there are others i.e. waves or...
