The final magnetism numbers improved significantly but the problem was actually a bad pickup coil despite it appearing to be okay. Once I installed a new pickup coil, the AC side of the charge circuit began to work. The DC side also needed another voltage regulator because the one I used was a piece of junk. Get what you pay for, I suppose.

@ ​​⁠thanks. I fixed mine a little while ago by adding another coil and running them in series, got twice the volts now and battery charging good now.

@@leesmith9942 The coil I used was actually out of an OMC outboard. It was not exactly the same but very close and it seemed to work well.
