Very nicely done. I'm currently learning about these in A&P class and this has been a wonderful help!

Good video, very helpful. Could be helpful to display voltmeter/ammeter settings when in use to display what exactly is being checked. Great job on video!

Just sent mine in for a 500 hr. O.H., they found both mags had cracked cases😮

Wow...could you tell before removal? Was the engine performance poor or unnoticeable?
@fly-n-m944511 ай бұрын
@@iteachairframepowerplant Everything was normal, the engine showed nothing. Only thing I noticed was a drop of engine oil after every flight that progressed to a few drops and I think we found the culprit. 😕

Slick mags are throw away, one run mags. I have rebuilt 100 or more Bendix 200 and a few 1200 series mags.

Slick magnetos are not throw away after one run magnetos. 500 hour inspections can be continued indefinitely. They work fine if properly maintained.

Hi, following up on my request for information regarding where I can purchase this mag test equipment.
So that smaller nylon gear you see at 1:50 on the left is $180 cdn. So that’s about $132 US. Unbelievable. The points are also ridiculously over priced. They are shooting themselves in the foot by gouging people to the point that they kill general aviation.

Try Aircraft Spruce pricing...🤔

Yea, I let the customer buy the parts so they can see how expensive this stuff is, I cant mark it up so no reason to keep inventory. what is sad that if you buy the same parts for an old tractor or generator a whole kit would be maybe $100. Sad.

Plastic gears? These things are a deathtrap.
