Thank you, this is a lot more informative than my experience in general class. The hose that was used to install hardware did not look very clean cut and had fibers flaring out the sides, does it only need to be trimmed at the very tip with tape on?
@iteachairframepowerplantАй бұрын
The tape helps with a clean cut...as well with a sharp blade.

Hi there, why are the mass balance weights located towards the out-board end of the aileron, and not the in-board in the Cessna 152 and 172 etc. ? (Is there a POI imbalance to resolve on the rather symmetrical looking aileron?) Cheers

So that smaller nylon gear you see at 1:50 on the left is $180 cdn. So that’s about $132 US. Unbelievable. The points are also ridiculously over priced. They are shooting themselves in the foot by gouging people to the point that they kill general aviation.

Yea, I let the customer buy the parts so they can see how expensive this stuff is, I cant mark it up so no reason to keep inventory. what is sad that if you buy the same parts for an old tractor or generator a whole kit would be maybe $100. Sad.

Slick magnetos are not throw away after one run magnetos. 500 hour inspections can be continued indefinitely. They work fine if properly maintained.

Thank you for this video! I’m 56 and less than a year ago I saw a bald eagle for the very first time. I was driving on a road that runs along a river near Pittsburgh, PA. I’ve driven this road for decades and never really saw much of anything. Then out of nowhere I saw this bald eagle. I certainly wasn’t expecting it, and it was quite a magnificent sight! I’ll remember this for the rest of my life. 😊 I got my A&P in 2001 just so I could work on my own airplanes. Currently I have a couple of vintage rag wing taildraggers that I’d like to restore.

@fly-n-m944510 ай бұрын
@@iteachairframepowerplant Everything was normal, the engine showed nothing. Only thing I noticed was a drop of engine oil after every flight that progressed to a few drops and I think we found the culprit. 😕

Measuring to this degree of accuracy takes a very stable ambient temperature to be held and a minimum dwell time while measuring due to localized body heating or some light sources. Usually mid seventies F and fluorescent lamps and ten seconds or less dwell time. You can watch things grow and retract due to relatively small temperature changes. You’d be surprised .
