Magni M24 Gyrocopter Flight from Sion, Switzerland to Aosta in Italy

Flew from 1582 feet at Sion Airport via the Grand St Bernard Passat where I was flying at nearly 11,000feet and back down to Aosta Airport 1791feet all in about 45mins flight time, Oh yes with pretty strong winds 20Kts gusting to 27kts on landing

Great narrative on your flight. What beautiful mountains! Funny you talk about your Ipad overheating. I use one for my drone and have heard the same thing. What motor do you have in your gyro?

Yes but you need to make sure the rotor is facing into the wind so that the wind doesn’t get under the rotor if the wind is more than a few knots. But then when parked wait for the rotor to be completely stationary before engine off

@@philipgoldsmithpilot You don't realise you're doing it, but having watched "most" of your (entertaining) videos, you appear to prefix the majority of your RT transmissions with "yeah,.....". I'm surprised that the non-English speaking Air Traffickers don't pull you up for it, is all.
