I agree. I don't like the two older versions. The mature Mustafa was very foolish and played right into the hands of his enemies, making huge mistakes in judgment. We saw his first big mistake when he was still a child and wandered away from his father's army encampment, having to be rescued. All the subsequent mistakes of his were similar, prideful errors in judgment, thinking himself above even his father's rules. Ultimately, I bet he would have overthrown his father's reign, eveb while still having good intentions towards his father, and those closest to him are encouraging this rebellion. He reminds me of King David's son Absalom.

Actor playing Suleiman has a majestic voice and an equally majestic appearance. Perfect choice for this role. He has aged gracefully throughout these episodes. Same goes to Hurrem and Hatice. Mahidevran, Ibrahim, Valide, Daye Hatun, Asàs, Gulśan, Nigar Kalfa and Bali Bey would've opted to stay the same instead of looking older. Mustafa looked best as the little child. The boy was just about bearable compared to that cute kid while the grown up Prince is an utter disappointment (esp in close ups and certain angles) when it comes to appearance. Makes one wonder if he had issues with the make up team. Acting isn't great too. Especially the scene where he meets his father. Thought he had gone blind.
