you have to take into consideration that those concubines 'respect' mahi because they want to curry favour with her to be able to be with Mustafa. if you notice mahi doesnt bow to hurrem while hurrem does to her. im not siding with mahi but it looks like it's the situation in this drama. ultimately Hurrem is officially the highest in rank and has suleiman by her side. she's the winner still in that sense.

Rank and power-wise valide always brings up that she was a russian princess and of noble blood while hatice thinks that she is a sultana, a noble birth gives her entitlement. I still don't understand how people only see one side and hate Hurrem for all she did to others to protect herself and her sons. I've watched this series over and over again, at least once a year, and one thing is sure: Hurrem did not draw first blood. I even made a list of everything done to her before she did the first evil thing: Poison her best friend. I don't agree with everything she has done, but her biggest fault is loving Suleyman and being loved by him. Secondly, based on the order of that time, ascending the throne was not based on seniority, it was based on who ended up living. Notice Suleyman does not have male siblings, just females; whoever ascends the throne, the first thing he does is to kill his male siblings. This is why Mahidevran was so scared, she had only one son; Hurem had better chances of having a child ending up on the throne. Hurem just played the game better than they did, and she had the Sultan on her side. This is why they hated her so much. Sultan loved her and gave the world to her, even going against a centuries-old system to marry Hurrem.
