İbrahim Pasha has dar clouds over him... Sultan Suleiman makes the hardest decision on his life. He can't protect the person who has protected from anyone, from himself by deciding him to be executed. The great fellowship started in Saruhan Ranch lasted for long years comes to an end. Suleiman gives İbrahim of Parga up silent hangmen.
Suleiman orders İbrahim to be executed whom he protected even from himself via the judgment of the council. However, he consults Ebussuud Efendi to apply the order. Ebussuud gets shocked and asks for time from Suleiman to be able to give him an answer. Hürrem is also unaware of the situation. She thinks she won't be able to get rid of İbrahim whatever she does. On the other hand, she hasn't seen who Sultana Şah really is. She is pleased that she's good with her. Hürrem also incorporate her in the foundation's charity works.
However, Sultana Şah reveals her true colors with the arrivals of her husbad Lütfi Pasha and her daughter Esmahan.
Prince Mehmet regrets that he caused his favorite Nurbanu' miscarriage. He blames himself. However, he starts blaming Mihrimah after her secret revealed and the siblings fall out with each other. As Hürrem gets involved in their fight, it gets bigger.
The day Suleiman has been waiting for comes. Ebussuud has found a solution. Suleiman needs to sleep for İbrahim's killing. Suleiman won't be able to sleep peacefully anymore. He either needs to apply his decision or change his mind. He invites İbrahim over for iftar one night. İbrahim spends the night in the palace without knowing what will happen to him. As Suleiman is knocked out cold, the silent hangmen knock out İbrahim.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Ibrahim's death is sorrowful! I felt really bad. But, the Sultan honored Ibrahim's answer to the question: and you Ibrahim, how do you want to die? He replied, "beside you, as your friend, brother, and companion". So he died in his chamber next to Suleiman. I feel so bad for Ibrahim but, I do remember the things he has done. He knew Hurrem did not kill Ayse but allowed her to continue in exile until she agreed to his terms, which included bowing down to Mahidevran. He spent too much time covering up Mahidevran's secrets, even when she sent poison to the sultan's table (to kill Hurrem); Sultan could have eaten that food! He protected Mahi as though he was her husband and protected Mustapha like a son. He connived with Valide Sultan to kill Hurrem and even hid it when Fatma burned Hurrem. He was fully ready to enthrone Mustapha when the time came and was ready to ensure Hurrem and her children were executed. There were just so many reasons to want him dead. I know Hurrem is wicked, but they made her that way.

​@@agathaedward9549 Who said she was a saint? She is flawed like almost every single character on the show. It makes it more interesting to watch, although since they created and added so many plot elements that the characters dont (truly) resemble historical facts that we know for sure happened. I find Hurrem to be flawed - she was a scared girl before but never out grew her fears. She is scared of losing her love, losing her children, her power which she uses to make herself feel safe. She was surrounded by enemies for years so she now views everyone as a potential enemy. She pushes those around her away from her due to her willingness to do anything to win. She can be very cruel and unwilling to change her stance once her mind is set us. She is not a good person. The show makes that clear. But honestly in her world being a good person doesent get you far. Esp as a mother to a prince (or mult princes) you live with the knowledge that out of all of the Sultan's sons only one can live in the end. Its a game of life and death, where brothers kill their own brothers to ascend the throne. She has the most children to lose, the least allies or trusted friends around to support her, and rivals who will gladly torement or watch her get abused once she finally loses everything at the end. All I can say to be honest is a wish that the real people who's stories this show was based (or inspired) on rest in peace! Also please be kinder to everyone here. No one is trying to attack or belittle you. There is no need for you to get defensive over people sharing their own opinions without showing any disrespect towards you. You can hate a character and others can hate or like another character too if they want to. Why be rude here to others? Over a mainly fictional character in a show that aired more than a decade ago?

I like how the way characters address each other reflects the hierarchy and their interpersonal relationships very subtly. Suleyman cared about Ibrahim and spoke to him like a true friend, a brother, but Ibrahim can only address him with “your Grace”. He also does this with Hatice, even though they are married and she calls him Ibrahim he never calls her by her name. Meanwhile Hurrem from the very beginning called Suleyman by his name without fear. No wonder she stole his heart and freed herself. Ibrahim remained the tortured slave and it became a complex for him…

This is just fiction, Hurrem was bought as present to Suleman by Valide Hafsa. Valide sultan chose who the concubines were according to tradition and the non obedient ones were either sold or removed or else…re Ibrahim and Hurrem they both most certainly addressed the sultan as per etiquette, regardless, women were nothing but disposable and still are in the realm of the Ottoman Empire from beginning to the end even these days, trust me, I come from there and in real life Ibrahim was never married to sultan’s sister either

They grow and together they dream, and aim high. Ibrahem as a confidant, best friend and more than a brother gives him arrogance and more ambition.

I feel sorry for Hatice, Ibrahim, the twins, Suleiman and Esmanur. I liked the friendship that Ibrahim had with Suleiman from the beginning. The twins are going to grow up without a father, Hatice has dealt with a lot of sorrow caused by Hurrem and Ibrahim. Suleiman is always living with a guilty conscience every day, fearing of taking innocent lives. I see so much sorrow in his eyes that even when he's smiling on the outside he looks sad on the inside.

A dictator/despot etc. is the most dangerous for his subordinates if he is smiling to them... This TV show is based true stories but of course we didn't know exactly how happened this. A plenty of envoy wrote about news what they heard but most of the official written stories about Ottoman history collected under rule of Murad III. That is very bad when you have to betray or attack someone who is know you(e. g. You want to leave you job for a new one or left your wife/husband etc.

She exposed Aybige and Bali Bey romance, knowing very well Bali Bey can be executed for such a mistake. She organized an attempt to kill Mustafa three times or so and each time cost a life of at least one innocent person (Mustafa's two favourites and this girl who had a mission to assassinate Mustafa, she jumped from a balcony because of Rustems ploy including her mother). Maybe she is comic but does it suit a great Sultana, Haseki, the mother of 5 children of the Emperor, especially when she demands respect from everyone around? I loved Meryem's performance in seasons 1,2 when she was still fighting for her position but in season 3 she overplayed. She makes those expressions all the time , even when the situation doesn't require it, which looks rather stupid regarding Hurrem's status - the legal Sultan's wife who rules his harem. Look at Hatice, Sah, even Mihrimah - they have this grace in the way they walk, in their expressions, voices. Meryem portrays Hurrem as a crazy, unstable woman, especially in her last episodes, probably because of the depression and burnout. I think it was a good think that Vahide played in Season 4. She resembles a powerful, mature Sultana much better than Meryem.

What I’ve realised ibrahim is very loyal to Suleyman and a very good friend too. He has a lot of respect for sultan. Suleyman gave him all the power to act on behalf of him. Ibrahim when in front of others like to flex so others know how powerful he is. That’s what lead to his death.
