Marvelous architecture and splendid folk my favourite part was at 40:14 with that elegant young woman stroking the head of the lion statue as if it was a real beast, beautiful.

@@LADmob Harriet and I have been traveling around the world since we were 18 as backpackers. Later in life, Harriet got a job working for a international consortium that she schedules meeting all over the world of which we both attend. It takes us to many countries. It gives us the opportunity to see the world. Not many Americans have that opportunity. We love to travel and we are in our 60's . That's why when we see your videos it brings back fond memories. There many places we've not been to. Hope one day we could meet each other in London. All the best. 👍👍

You ignorant and propagandist. Gdańsk was German and Prussian in the years 1793-1807 and 1815-1945. It is a Polish royal city. In the 16th and 17th centuries it was the largest Polish city.

If the Poles had not rebuilt this city, Gdańsk would look exactly the same as the "beautiful" German city called Kaliningrad.

@@Mjak-yd3og it wasn't destroyed to be rebuilt. it was stolen from its rightful people that's all. Kaliningrad belong to Germany too.

@@starcapture3040 If the Germans had not started the war, Gdańsk and Konigsberg would still have been German cities. But Germany lost the war and the victors (Russians, British and Americans) took away much of their territory. When you lose a war, you lose territory. These are the eternal laws of history. And Gdańsk was a city belonging to Poland for hundreds of years and was forcibly taken from Poland by Prussia. The Prussian state itself was established on lands that had NEVER been German before, and became so as a result of the conquest of pagan Prussian tribes. What the Germans took by force centuries ago as a result of armed conquest, was taken from the Germans when they were defeated in the war. And Gdańsk was destroyed, just like Dresden, by Allied air raids and by Russian artillery during the capture of Gdańsk in 1945. And finally, one more thing. if you think that Gdańsk is German, then Straßburg in France, Trient and Bozen in Italy, and even Prague in the Czech Republic are equally German. Those poor Germans. Everyone is stealing their cities, and the Germans themselves have never taken anything from anyone or harmed anyone.
