I know the actress playing Hurrem changed but they could've shown a flashback. Did they really have to show Hatice's funeral over Mehmet's?

I disagree with your thoughts on Mustafa. He has proven himself as a worthy king. In his reign, no one was killed or excuted, he find ways to solve problems amicably. Hurrem was the one poisoned Suleiman's mind that Mustafa will dethrone the King. Or that they didn't go by succession of the eldest. Bayezid could have been an amazing explorer/general. And Selim probably would have suited a quiet life in a nice far away province best. Without the sibling rivalry and the pressure to compete for the throne (which he doesn't even want all that much, it feels), he would have been much happier. Of the three, Mustafa is the only one really suited temperamentally, to be a good leader, imo. It's really painful to watch them joke and have fun together as siblings and to know, how the fight for succession will kill three of them in short order and turn the fourth into a completely messed up human being.

I can never forget the look and reaction on Bayezid when Lala Pasha sided with Selim in front of the Sultan lol poor bayzid i did really feel bad for him but if only he would of thought more with his brain instead of acting like a toddler throwing tantrums he never grew up.and trusted a evil manipulatin brother who had delusions of being sultan in very near future.... and the wrong people. He should of had loyalty to his father/sultan and his motherHurrem,...if you are not loyal to your own parent/family then you are nothingl. He did actually deserve it because of his actions.

Weird. When Hayreddin Hizir Pasha talked to the Sultan about marriage a couple episodes back,it sounded, like he had never been married and wasn't interested, either. The whole 'the sea is my love' thingy... I kinda assumed, that Mihrünissa was maybe his illegitimate child...but surely this would have come up, when she married Mustafa. And then, on top of it, she mentioned having several brothers in support of Mustafa. So he must have had a family once and maybe his wife died young? It's just odd, that they didn't just use that as the explanation for him not wanting to marry again, then.

Prince Mustapha WAS the rightful heir to the throne in real life he was far more educated than his brothers and was extremely kind gentle generouse . Loved not only by his staff but had all of the people with him as well as the army KJannisaries . He would not have had all that support had he been devious and a .liar He was amazingly kind as was his mother .not to be confused as many appear to be watching this series . . She was gentle and Hureen treated her shockingl;y . Mehdeverin wasNOT the person shown in the series far from it whilst Hureem WAS pure evil .

29:00 Hurrem narrating the Story of Moses and Hizir Prophets to Suleiman is the best ❤ 1. Hizir tearing the ship to look old to save from the vicious king is like appointing Selim to Manisa to save him from unwanted attacks and competition for the throne. 2. Hizir killing the boy as he would grow up to torment his parents is like Mustafa ganging up with the soldiers n pashas, doing everything opposite to what Suleiman told him is like tormenting him in his old age justifies why Suleiman killed Mustafa. 3. Re-building the old wall in vain depicting trying to calm Bayezid(who felt like an orphan n perceived lack of support from parents) so that one day he can find the treasure within himself, whom they thought as the perfect heir for the throne. It's not self control. Selim is afraid of confrontation and fights. That's why he turns away whenever Bayazit challenges him. Remember that time they were racing horses and they got lost, those people were going to kill Selim if Bayazit didn't save him. Selim was afraid to fight them.
