As Ibrahim became closer to Suleyman his arrogance grew and when he married hatice and became the grand vizer ( or was it the other way round), he thought he was invincible ... what valide sultan said to Suleyman was correct .. but I like Suleyman's answer better ... "What I give I can take back" ... that's a warning to her too as well as to everybody in the harem and the empire ... Suleyman was the ultimate ruler of the Ottoman empire. He tried his best to be fair and kind to everyone but there's a limit to every fairness and kindness.
@anastasialem6866 Жыл бұрын
Ibrahim was the best character ever. But it was his own arrogance that caused his own death. Hurrem would've never be able to get rid of him until he was out of sultan's favor. I agree, he brought it all on himself. He should've been quiet, not that arrogant.
@jennylaw6820 Жыл бұрын
@@anastasialem6866 I also like Ibrahim until he lost his sense of loyalty. He was jealous of Hureem's closeness to Suleyman. He joined the wrong camp. If he had accepted Hureem as Suleyman's legal wife and the sultanate queen, Hureem and him would be unstoppable and there would be peace in the palace. Because of Hureem's love for Suleyman and her children. But not to be, he fell into the trap of his own wrong judgment of hunger for power and greed and misjudging of Hureem's character just like valide sultan.

I always loved their sense of loyalty and friendship to eachother at the beginning of the show , it is so sad how things went after that . And worst part is it tgeir fault both , ibrahim told him in many scenes to stop giving him higher and higher ranks as it puts him closer to death , and sulieman trusted and valued him so much he became arogant😢

Treachery was a serious crime back then when people did this kind of act and get a punishments including executions back then. Ibrahim Pasha was in a serious life or death situation when he betrayed his brother in- law Suleiman Sultan, the Great Khan. Suleiman Sultan decided to spare Ibrahim Pasha's life by giving his seal back as the Grand Vizer for his friend and brother in-law and also brotherhood between the both of them.

Ibrahim should have learned his lesson. He just kept getting worse and worse. He thought his marriage to Suleiman's sister and his long friendship would protect him. His arrogance is insane. I don't believe he even loved Hattice. Her was crazy about his daughter with Nigar but never much time with his kids from Hattice. Hattice was always unhinged. Suleiman should have acted long ago. His whole family fights for power all the time. They mind killing either.

13:53 and in this exactly point, is when Ibrahim death was the fault of Suleiman. He never understand that Ibrahim wants to be free, and not a slave. Ibrahim was his friend and he never get what he really wants from his friend (suleiman). This was not a Grand Vizier title, or Hatice hands, what he really wants is the hear from his best friend, that he was not a slave, but a free man, and a friend.

What's the point of telling Ibrahim he was being released to go back to his native land, then kill him? Why not just say the truth? And why talk to him at all; why is Suleiman even there? Everything has already been said. This is not even historical. Ibrahim was strangled in his bed.

Ibrahim "came" from the same stock as mahidrevan. He was given another chance of life by Suleyman. Hope he learnt his lesson. As long as valide sultan's around ibrahim, mahidrevan suleyman wouldn't take their lives however big or serious mistakes they made. But don't test Suleyman's patience too often ...
