This is another of those moments where the writers are trying to depict Selim as in the wrong, but, other than being a little too quick on the draw to accuse Bayezid, he's 100% right. Down to the fact that, even if Mustafa's intentions were entirely honorable, marching straight to the capital while the sultan is ill would immediately be read in the worst way possible.

Why hasn’t anyone ever noticed how repetitive the soundtracks became in this season? The same three to four soundtracks over and over again. In contrast to the earlier seasons that is. Goes to show how boring the story itself became. The people in charge of music aren’t to blame. On the contrary, they had all the passion and willingness to create something good, as is shown in the earlier seasons. The just didn’t have what to work with.
