Honestly, I think the change in actresses is meant to represent Anastasia's growth as a character. It is here, looking on the rebels and protecting the capital, where she proves her leadership and strength. It was a very sudden change, but this is symbolic of the rise from innocent Anastasia to the capable future Kosem Sultan. Edit: I know that the change was for reasons such as ratings, but I use this explanation to incorporate the different actresses into the story. They are all amazing in their potrayals.💖💗

For what I read, the change of actress was something the writers wanted from the start to represent de different ages of the protagonist: Anastasia as young innocent teenager, Kosem as young adult leaning how to fight her battles and slowly deepening in the twisted world, and the other Kosem who’s already a experienced woman with years of knowledge.

Cz it was fixed since the beginning. They selected Nurgul yesilcay for old kösem. And a girl (I don't remember the name) as child kösem and after that they selected Beren as young kösem. But that girl was too much younger for the character of child kösem so ppl in Turkey revolted,and so they replaced her with Anastasia. So as per their requirement Anastasia as child kösem Beren saat as young kösem Nurgul yesilcay as old kösem
