Do we have to speak about their first meetings when he didn't tell her he was the Sultan ? Do we have to speak about Anastasia'as slave status cannot imply from the beginning a sain love story because she basically cannot say no ? Have you ever heard of the Stockholm Syndrome ? They were never equals in their relationship : Ahmed could have done whatever he wanted and he did it (as sleeping with many girls meanwhile Anastasia had to wait for his goodwill) when Anastasia never had the choice. It's a great love story but saying it was better than Hurrëm and Suleyman's or just even all joyful/luminous is just a non sense.
