I like the Turkish actress named Beren Saat, especially in her series called "Atiye". She is an incredible actress. However, I don't know I have mixed feelings. I have started watching the first episodes with the Greek actress Anastasia Tsilimpiou. So the chemistry between her and the male actor was so unique. Anyway, this series is beautifully produced !

I wish Ahmet remembered that Kosem was the one who went into the room when he had small pox while everyone had left him for dead. And she was the one who got the rebellion under control. For all of his supposed love for Kosem he bed other concubines on a regular basis, even getting angry on Kosem when she got jealous. Like Suleiman from the previos season. Historic Sulieman was different than they portrayed in the series, history says there was no one after Hurrem, I wish that there was no one after Kosem for Ahmet too.

I LOVE how Kosem Sultan acquired her place by her bravery and mercifulness. Long story short, she's a real Sultana, might not be by blood, but by intelligence and her great deeds. I know many of you will be upset reading this (those who ADMIRE Hurrem) but i gotta say this. Unlike Kosem, every Sultanas out there, eg. Hurrem Sultan, all gained power jst by giving birth to a PRINCE. They were even selfish and cruel to those who didn't even harm 'em. This is how they claim themselves Sultana and portray their power and everything. But Nasia or Mahpeykar or Kosem or whatever, she real queen❣️👑

From watching this all the way through & the previous show. I know its cool to hate Safiye. But. Even though she craved power. Nobody had the knowledge to think either mustafa or ahmed would survive. She was trying to hold the state together even though they hated her for it. Handan seems useless here & Anastasia turns into a much worse monster.

Generally it's like you were ordered to scream like mad at someone but you're pretty shy and kind person.

A totally different character, and less convincing i the story, not due to the actress, but to the scripting that changed tone as well.. Someone getting knifed behind the scenes on set?? The actress chosen is also pretty, but does not in the least have the character of the original person, nor can one believe that Ahmed would have fallen in love with her portrait in the wild integrity and so, innocence portrayed, which was the point.

This new actress simply can't hold a candle to this so fine actress who plays Sofia Sultana; she is not believable, and rather common in her personality, though a beautiful woman. Much better playing a business woman than this exceptional Queen Kösem, whose grace came from her honesty, what is called innocence here, but is rather ancient wisdom, from other lives perhaps. This new actress simpers and manipulates, why did they change--and again to someone so different than the original--certainly there were other actresses who were interesting --and maybe even bond as well as the original Anastasia...Folia!

For me the Rank of Powerful Ottoman Haseki and Valide Sultan is:- 1) Safiye Sultan 2) Kösem Sultan 3) Nurbanu Sultan 4) Turhan Sultan 5) Hürrem Sultan The reason for placing Hürrem Sultan in the bottom is that she is nothing without Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Han, He granted so many favours to her and always been biased towards her. As we have seen in Muhteşem Yüzyıl Süleyman that she was a Narcissist, Cry Baby, Self Obsessed, Insecure so that's why I feel her character is weak in the series.

I think the new actress is beautiful, mature and intelligent while losing innocence, I’m kind of sad the character became like one of ordinary nameless concubines. Nothing outstanding, significant. It’s funny she suddenly comes to behave like a great Sultana. Though the first actress was childish, which I hated, she was the innocent.
