What's happening in Chapter 30?
Sultan Osman is on his way to death this week!
Young Osman is deposed in a way not seen in history! The rebels storm the palace and look for Osman! Kösem is afraid that his son will be killed. The mother-son reunites and reconciles! Without the knowledge of Halime Sultan, Dilruba orders the killing of children! Zülfikar plans to appease the janissaries by going to the janissary quarry, killing his life hearth! The rebels who discover where Osman is hiding go to the gate. They are forcibly taking Sultan Osman to the janissary hearth! Kösem on the other hand, Mustafa to the throne to save his son makes! Davud Pasha orders the death of Sultan Osman! Sultan Osman is taken to the dungeon of Yedikule and murdered murderously! After all this, Kösem takes the lives of all those who killed Osman to get revenge!

Öte yandan Kösem, oğlunu kurtarmak için Mustafa'nın tahta çıkmasını sağlıyor! Davud Paşa ise Sultan Osman'ın ölümünü emrediyor! Sultan Osman yedikule zindanına götürülerek canice öldürülüyor! Kösem tüm bu olanlardan sonra intikam almak için Osman'ı ölümüne neden olanların tümünün canını alıyor!

Iskender wasn't neccessarily evil, he is portrayed so because we're seeing this series from kosem's perspective and story. If you were a lost prince all your life searching for your family your whole life without knowing if you even had a mother, family or if they even loved you or knowing anything about them or being able to feel the love of a mother and family then finding out they're alive and you have a family after so many long years of your life with a goal of searching and finding your family your whole life just for you to find them and have people force you into leaving them behind and starting life anew? would you do it? even when the whole purpose of your life has been searching for your family? obviously not. he stood his ground. yes, leaving was the better choice for HIMSELF to live but he wanted to stand his ground and i'm sure any person would do that if we were in his position and shoes.

Whatever kosem sons were younger than Osman, and the series showed that kosem saved Mustafa from Ahmet while it was ulema and then handan at first place who did for the dynasty future as there was no other prince left, handan was more kind he lost her 4/5 sons and finally one of her son took throne she stopped him from killing his half brother the son of her enemy, and kosem later stopped by her influence over Ahmet she wanted him to change the law as she was afraid that one day Osman will kill her sons as well if today Ahmet kills his brother as he was older and mehmed wasn't believed to be her son so she has daughters of Osmans age and Murad was 6/7 years younger than Osman , also she wasn't the one who changed this law and put Mustafa at throne .. they showed her extremely powerful more than Ahmet in Ahmet reign while it's not true, it was the court ulema decision to put older prince at throne .. And kosem tried to get along with Osman when he was young but ahmet stopped this. Hence they both weren't close like they showed in series and Osman didn't take lives of Kosem's sons except mehmed ( if he was kosem son) and it was because they wanted to put him at throne also kosem receive 1000 aspers even in Osman reign. And there was no proof that kosem was also involved in Osman death if she was , she would never let Ahmet other sons ( from his other concubines) like Osman full brother beyzait and two other prince live when she was only in power from 1623-1630 .

One source states that he died of epilepsy which was caused by being imprisoned for majority of his life. Another source states that he was executed by the orders of Sultan Murad IV, who was on his death bed, and rumors say that he wanted to end the lineage. He is buried in the courtyard of the Haghia Sophia.

After having watched the first half of this series, I am very impressed. The episodes are getting better and more tensive. In my opinion, the last episodes were the best and interesting ones. Since many characters have died in the last episodes, it kinda remembered me of Game of Thrones. I know that the next episode will get a time skip and almost every character who is alive gets a cast change. Now Kösem is the matriarch of the Ottoman dynasty and appears more wise, powerful and strong. I really look forward to seeing the second half. Kösem: In the beginning, she is a naive, young and inexperienced woman who gets caught and her life changes drastically. She has to learn to accept her fate, to love Ahmed profoundly and to understand the power-hungry court in Istanbul. It was very enjoyable to see how she develops as a character and how she becomes more self-confident and intelligent. She has surpassed every sultana ( Safiye, Handan or Halime) and she is the one who has challenged them the most. Although she has lost her parents, her little sister, her friends, her Ahmed and her sons, she is a strong lioness and keeps fighting until her enemies are destroyed. Nonetheless, she has her weaknesses and can be seen as too ambitious but I understand that you need to behave like that in the Ottoman court so that you can survive. In Turkey, Kösem is well-remembered and is seen as more powerful than Hürrem Sultana, as she was declared regent three times and took absolute control of the state affairs.

I felt so sorry for Sultan Osman. I didn't stop crying while I was watching his tragic end. Halime, Dirluba and Davut deserved all that they happened. Kosem forgave them the first time and they gave them the chance to live but they were so selfish and so stupid that they thought that they can do everything they want. Halkme sultan must be grateful to Sultan Ahmed who didn't execute Mustafa when he was a little child but she behaved like a stupid and ungrateful. She betrayed Mehmet two times but he spared her life and let her live to the palace. When he die, she tried to kill his children. Kosem made the mistaka to spared her life but Halime didn't stopped. She wants power and glory and she tried again to enthrone her son. I believe thay sultan Ahmed must have killed her and not Mustafa. She was dangerous not Mustafa. She was the only responsible for all that happened to Mustafa.

I kinda wish they showed more of Mustafa’s 2nd reign which was longer than his first reign. In history, he actually was actively involved with the navy and frequently visited the navy docks(explains why he loves gallaries). He even wanted to lead an expedition. He was also the one who got the traitors like Lala Omer punished not Kosem. But because of his mental issues he got dethroned and Halime who was alive requested to spare his life.
