LOL...i think for the fishing enthusiasts the Head set was used when making your own flies and lures. My grand-day had hands-free magnifier glass that had a base for setting on the table, and alligator clamps for holding the hooks and the magnify lenses for seeing work close up for really detailed work.

I’ve used a set of these for nearly 2 years. It is a total love-hate affair! I have a home machine shop and do work on small parts. When I am stationary and they work fine. But if I get up, move about they fall off easily. If you need to look close then try and flip them up to look away, the tension on them slips and they fall into your face. The headband is adjustable but ridged. Only ONE size fits and if you tip your head a bit, they slide off and bounce across the floor. Also- the clips that hold the lens yin weaken over time and the lenses will slip out. Also they require you get very close to the work. The do work with glasses on, and the light is great. But I’m still searching for something more useable.

Yes when choosing a magnification tool always check what's called "diopter" The higher the diopter the smaller the working distance. It's why at 20x's, the focal point is so close and very narrow. 2-3 diopter is best at 10"- 7" working distance. This looks like a Carson Knock off(?) rated very well. Japan Lenses. Thanks so much for the chuckles too.

fly biding is one thing that has to do with fishing.they get voltage up with a type of high frekvensy transformer and then probably they chop up the power and send pulses to the leds at very high frekvesy is my gess

In the 1960s i studied printing the smallest type size was 6 point.set by hand this was the smallest people could read (both the type setters and the person reading the printed material (aka the "fine print"0 now the use a computer and can reduce it to 1 point (or .11 inch) 8 point is said to readable by most with average vision..6 point is starting to get iffy so one point is almost unreadable except with VERY GOOD MAGNIFYERS

the focus will be different for everyone as no 2 eyes are the same nearsighted will go one way far sight the other. the degree your vision is off is where they will need to be. use your regular glasses underneath to fix
