Magnum headache rack led lights(night time)

How did you wire it with that LED harness, the video Magnum gives you sucks. There is a little black wire off the the battery running back where the hell does it go

It's a whole harness they give you that is plug and play into your rear harness behind the rear bumper. Super easy. It's on my install video.

Just take the bulbs out or disconnect plug on your 3rd brake light to eliminate it

To bad it blocks the 3rd brake light and cargo light. It would be much brighter. Maybe the taller rack might be better for the cargo light from the cab, and for loading without hitting the top of the cab. But not sure if it will have wind noise and affect MPG. I'm still deciding which way to go. You had this for a while now, whats your thoughts?? Thanks for the video bro.

The rack lights are brighter than the 3rd brake. But I'm putting work lights on it that will be hooked into my auxiliary switches anyways.

Does the trick dash say trailer connected? I heard that the extra lights make the truck think that it's a trailer. I'm ordering the taller rack today.👍

Nope. I think they fixed that issue. Bc I read the same thing on a forum but someone said they fixed it. And mine hasn't done it.

Does the low profile block the bed camera?

I don't have that camera but yes it would. If you have it go with the taller model.

I just subscribed. Beautiful truck and great video. I am thinking about buying the same truck. Would you happen to know the weight of the truck? If you don't mind me asking, what are your towing MPG numbers? (I am debating on going back to gas while hauling a truck camper cross country. I am not 100% sold on all the new smog crap on diesels and the added repair costs)

Thank you for the subscribe. And my truck is around 7000lbs give or take a few hundred lbs with me and my tools etc. 14k GVWR. Roughly 7000lb payload give or take depending on how much is in the truck. It can tow 20k 5th wheel and has a 28kgcvwr. I had a 2017 f250 6.7l diesel. And yeah the thought of paying 8k to replace the whole dpf garbage pissed me off so I got the 7.3l gas. I have 4.30 gears so I get around 12 mpg. 3.73 may be better but I wanted the 4.30s it's nice. My 1st video I misspoke about towing numbers incase you watch that b4 reading this.

Power for these plow systems comes direct from the battery. I recommend the dual battery high AMP alternator package if you are going to plow.
