Yea, I'm in New England and that cab was absolutely saveable without much effort by what I saw. Problem is location, it was in Belgium while any real hope of a purchaser would be here in the US....I'm pretty sure the cost to get it over here would be far too much so I understand the decision even though my heart skipped as well.

Chains that short do not have enough momentum to do anything exciting. The whole myth comes from long cables. I was a logger for almost 20 years, I know what I'm talking about

@@elonmust7470 Was a flatbed trucker. Had much experience with chains and fasteners, agree totally. Cable hold tension that must be released. Chains hold tension but that is released immediately from loop to loop when tension is no longer. Much less chance of flyback. Great comment.

Aklsop you just have a different view of things cuz I seen a very nice cab and bed still in good shape that could have been restored and back on the road. Those trucks and older from a time where they are like a piece of art instead of todays throwaway disposable vehicles that look like everything else on the road.

If you’ve never been in a diesel that does a runaway on you be happy. It’s very crazy and scary. I had one runaway on me while test driving at a repair shop. Blew the engine when it finally shut down at just under 6000 rpms. Damn it was hauling ass just before the engine blew.

If your turbo diesel is rolling coal past 1500 rpm, you've got a bad tune. If running rich above that mark gives you more than negligible power gains then you need a bigger intercooler to keep your intake temps down. Rolling coal is as about as cool as running 45° of camber. You may think it's cool, but really it's just dumb and dangerous.

I just believe people are so ready to tear their trucks up. What a lot of people don't realize is that we're heading into a time where big trucks like these are going to get more and more rare. The cost of them new is so high that people aren't buying them unless they really need one. And with all the electric stuff taking place even the 150 and 1500s are going to be slowing down on sales. That's why the cost of a 20 year old F350 diesel goes for 20K now.
