I love seeing these because I'm reminded of some of my past mistakes. I have dumped a load of round hay bakes from a 32' trailer and I have lost a truck load of firewood from a flat bed pickup. I was riding with a guy that had a skid steer side step off of a trailer too! Always strap your loads down...............no matter how far you are driving!

Here’s a few things from a shop owner. Get water into the dashboard or over it and it’s likely a write off. Engine fires are an automatic write off, no shop on the planet will fix a truck after a fire. It typically gets stripped for parts. Body damage depends on the severity, a fully crushed roof however is also likely a write off as we have to somehow come up with a new body. I think we’ve only had about 3 vehicles come in crushed and still driving where the insurance company authorized us to rebody a truck.
