I just went through a 3 month period like this. I went from 2100 to 1800 in 1+0 on lichess. Day after day just kept losing. Only very recently I came back to 2000+. I'm 2000 on all other time controls so I couldn't understand why this happened. Hopefully, this is only an isolated issue for Magnus. Losing like this plain sucks and clearly not an indicator of skill.

When you get to 2100, can you stay there? Or do you drop quickly below 2100.
@MrSupernova1114 жыл бұрын
@@kasparov937 . I'm usually between 2000 and 2100. However, I dropped straight from 2100 to 1800+ recently then about 3 months later regained most of my points. Today I nearly hit 2100 again then quickly dropped below 2000 again. My connection is garbage and I often play tired. But I'm sure there is more to it. Seems that this year there was an influx of underrated players that showed up to lichess in masses. Today for example, I played some guy 30+ bullet games 1-0 and he played like a GM and made instant moves. I'm talking about wild tactical shots 4-5 moves deep using 0 time. He was rated sub 2000 so I don't understand how he can play so well and be rated so low. In other games he played like a patzer. I won a fair amount of games but finished down a few games compared to him.
