This milner-berry-kraai gambit helped me get over my problems against the french. Now i like seeing 1...e6. It is nice magnus played it be it in a rapid game.

Great stuff. I originally had 6. a3 in my repertoire (following a chapter in the Yusupov series) and as a surprise waeppon 4. Qg4. But following the EZ-video and this one - I will try out the EZ-System.

I don't know if you know this but here are Giri and Gustafsson discussing your idea as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5vbcpKPe76Nd5I One of their viewers who apparently also watches chessdojo asked Giri about it. Giri even made an addendum about it in his recent chessable course about the French. It's not unlikely that Carlsen may have come across your idea in this way (given his involvement in chess24 and his good relation with Jan Gustafsson).

Wow Anish suggests the sad looking a6 in there. To me that confirms the gambit is good. Obviously black is fine but incovenienced. A6 cant be a fun move gameplay-wise
