Carlsen on a completely different stratosphere. I have never seen such a gifted person who plays basically all chess types (960, Bullet, Blitz, Rapid, Classic) at the same highest level. Much respect...

This was one of the most disputed Lichess events I've seen with Jerry commenting. Midway there were still 9 players within grasp of first place, very exciting! That triple loss in a row for Carlson was shocking and uncharacteristic. I could feel his frustration as he took a breather, it was telling at how emotional he can get playing. He's only human we often forget! But like a true champion came back CRUSHING it with 12 wins in a row!! It's like he used that negative moment to fuel him to victory. @TheGrandmaMoses5 жыл бұрын
Sorry to be an a**hole, but that's simply not correct. The 'a' of Zugzwang is like the 'a' in 'car', just a bit shorter; it is not like the 'a' in pawn. Phonetically, the 'Zugzwang a' would be an 'ā' whereas the 'pawn a' would be an 'ɔː'. For completion, the 'a' in car would be 'a:' - it's pronounced exactly like 'ā', just a bit longer. Greetings from germany, have a good day.
