"It's -1.5, completely losing" In my games, +-1.5 means nothing, the evaluation is always just one move away from swinging 5 points in either direction.

In Armageddon the players get 1 second increment after the 40th move. Thats how Pragg played so many moves with just 2 seconds on the clock. Great recap! :)

Do you know if it’s a true increment or is it a delay. We never see the time go up but maybe they just aren’t fast enough OTB.

but actually moving a piece usually takes longer than 1 second, so you wouldn't have time to think, you would just need to move instantly and even then it would be difficult.

As Hikaru said, he just didn't see the move. He was mentally prepared to go for a win because he have lost so many games before, and another one wouldn't be a disaster, but missed the opportunity. So it wasn't in his head, it was just chess
