Whoever asked the question at 9:51...Thank you for asking this and thank you Magnus for answering it! I turn 35 soon and I was already giving up on getting fit. I really needed to hear this. I started Peloton for the past couple weeks and I'm already seeing results, not just pounds dropped, but I feel happier and less stressed and sleep better. Loving all these videos, I'm learning loads and they're very easy to integrate into my lifestyle. 17/20 meals for life!

For the person who asked why my back hurt when I do abs exercises? One of the possibility is that your back muscle can be overstretched during abs exercise. You may have back muscle strain already and the abs exercise just aggravate it. It's hard to make diagnosis or conclusion just from the limited information. It is best for you to see a physiotherapy. Also, if an exercise brings on pain ( not discomfort), it means you shouldn't go that hard or should not do it at all.

I figured out that I craved sweet food and not sugar. So I am trying to include more stevia/xylitol in my food along with fruits. Also drinking coconut water and water in general helps a lot. I frequently find myself opening the fridge to search for treats and end up grabbing the water bottle and having some water. Maybe munch on some almonds as well if I can.

Try cutting out a few different unhealthy food groups every 3 weeks, they say it takes 21 days to break a bad habit.. So if you can make it 3 weeks without that food, you'll stop craving it altogether, then repeat.

Hi Magnus! I love your videos. I have a question: for those of us working shift work, what is the best way to train/meal plan particularly around the night shifts. For example, I work 4 shifts on (0700-1900, 0700-1900, 1900-0700, 1900-0700), then 5 days off, and my metabolism has suffered particularly from the night shifts. My days off and day shifts aren't a problem for eating and training. Whats the best way to time/build my meals and time my training in the day leading up to my first night shift all the way through the nights until the day after my last night shift? Thanks in advance!

Here's a question that is troubling me. I've been on weight loss journey for 10 months. I am over 45 and I've lost 55lbs which is awesome, but I have 20 lbs to go to be in the healthy range. I would be happy with 10lbs more, but my weight loss has been extremely slowed/almost just maintaining for a couple months. I don't want to cut anymore calories since I am already at 1300. Any advice?
@SvobodovaEva3 жыл бұрын
Eat more! 1300 is very low and your body knows it's in a deficit so it won't give up fat.
@sudwivedi13 жыл бұрын
You have accomplished quite a bit by reducing calories - I was in a similar position (about 5 yrs ago and am in the same age group as you) You should consider reassessing your goals by increasing muscle mass rather than losing weight (based on decreased calories and possibly use of cardio)...you should try resistance training (lifting weights). Note that based on cardio the body will adjust and become more efficient (and therefor exert less calories in exertion) whereas with increased muscle mass (your body will experience burning more calories while at rest).
@deuxquatresixhuit3 жыл бұрын
First of all, congrats on the hard work!!! Your dedication to your health is amazing, and will set you up for a strong and healthy life :) Plateaus can be sooo discouraging but take pride in all you've done so far, and use it as fuel to keep going through the tough times. I second resistance training, as well as getting some one-on-one coaching with either a trainer or dietitian. They can help you learn about the intricacies of your body, and help motivate you when needed. Keep it up, and I wish you all the best in your journey!

There's not much you can do with lose skin other than a surgery but 70kg isn't much, so I don't think your skin is stretched, unless it's from pregnancy. I think what you mean is actually not enough muscles? Watch some of his resources on how to gain muscle mass.

At 67 I dropped 25# from 229 to 205 and have been stalled out for about a month at 205. on a journey to 190/195. I'm 6'0"". It's not easy to eat about 1800 calories a day. I do good till supper then it seems I'm trying to make up the difference and go overboard. My body just craves food, especially meat. So I go thru the cycle over and over. If I try for a low calorie day i'll end up making up for it the following day because I'll be dragging. I mainly eat a very clean diet so I 'd say I easily fall into the 17of 20 window you suggest. I work out a lot too. Been doing sprints too. Any ideas?

To all the men (and women, we go through it too ladies I know. Same for you) out there who are worrying or obsessing over physical appearance... please stop. God made you perfect and anything you want to improve is fine within reason and with healthy cadence. Don’t go all imbalanced and ignore your inner work just bc u want a 6 pack. Me personally, I like my man with some extra soft meat, I don’t want him suffering. It hurts to see and feel...hurts to see what they think they have to be for love and acceptance and respect. This is not the way. Be good to your body, eat healthy foods, move it, but put your dedication to the internal, to your relationship with God. Jesus loves you. He is the realest n “manliest” man of all time. Choose peace, love, and being incredibly bad ass through your strength to not give into the nonsense. With God as first priority, all else falls into place. It is safe to surrender to this Love of which we are all made. God loves us so much He (when spoken of, God is masculinely-MANifested, doesn’t mean feminine isn’t there or less important) wants personal relationship with each of you, His beloved children. He not only made us faces, eyes, and hearts but a perfect set for Himself as well... believe you are this important my brothers and sisters. BELIEVE. We will all meet an end on/of this earth...we will all surrender in the hour of our death. Surrender to truth! Surrender to God, surrender to Jesus. It is not emptying your cup, my fam, it is filling it FOREVER. We want you all at the party in the end/new beginning. Say YES to YESHUA. Praise Jesus. We are saved. He is risen. The hard part is over, existence exists. We are miracles used to themselves...miracles with a source unfathomable... realize your REAL EYES through the REALEST EYES through which all is realized. We all choose. God bless.
