I realize this video is 7 years old but I was wondering, how popular is magracing now in 2020?

There's no limit to how many lanes a track can have, but the point here is to make it more realistic. Some corners on this track have 3 lines, but if the guy in front uses the best line you're stuck behind him until someone makes a mistake. As we get better at driving, we're seeing some 2 and 3 car battles that go for 5 or more laps. It takes a different style of driving from slotcars, where passing is relatively easy

This seems like a cross between slot car racing and rc car racing, although it is still a type of "slot" car race. It seems like it would be fun to do, and gives you a little bit more interaction with the cars, as well as trying to get the lines right.

Agree. I'd like to see a little bit bigger dimensions and see how the racing is. But so far, so good.
