Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by! Just wanted to be clear, I wanted to see how effective these would be if we tried it inside the case! I know they are supposed to go on the outside, I just felt it was ugly and wanted to try it on the inside!

Thanks for trying them on the inside! I think putting the ring on the outside is ugly too; and I didn't understand why the 3rd party makers can't just use stronger magnets when creating the adapter?

@@Obvious_Furry I imagine there's still some thickness to it, so even with a skin over the magnets you'll see a bump... I really want to keep the sleekness of my phone and case.

The plates are meant to be on the outside of the case or directly on the phone. Spigen and Mophie both sell the plates and state as much on thier instructions. Mine sticks to all magesafe accessories just fine with the Spigen plate.

Thanks for running these tests. Yes, i was totally wondering if the magnets would be strong enough to convert a non magsafe case to a magnet that would work on a magnetic car mount. Sounds like no.

I think it will work properly if you check after removing the adhesive from the ring. Which was not done in the video.

Did you try the limitless 3 without the magnet ring inserted? you removed it for the limitless 4 test.

I bought ESR Halolock universal ring and put it on the back of a Spigen hybrid clear case to my Samsung Note 10+ and works amazing!!!! Magsafe picks up my phone with out a care. I have Aukey's magsafe charger. The Halolock ring looks like an OEM Apple magsafe case. Got mine in white, but there is black and metal finish.

The MagSafe ring is supposed to be adhered to the “outside” of the case, not the inside.

I put a magnetic ring on my non MagSafe compatible silicone case today but just put it on the outside of the case which worked well, just in case it helps

So you put it on the back of the phone cases not the back of the phone

@@tinacostner2498 The ring is a piece if metal. It's usually not a magnetic ring. It's the type of metal that magnets attract to real well. So you put in on the back of the case - so it's close to the accessory (like a charger or magnetic popsocket etc). You stick it to the back of the case. Then the magnet in the accessory will be real close to it.

Is the rings waterproof? Because I’m thinking of installing it on both Catalyst Total Protection case and my Lifeproof fre case for my iPhone 12 Pro Max and I’m thinking of installing to my solar wireless power bank also. Does it work inside the case or outside the case? Let me know.

Thanks for stopping by! Not sure how the adhesive will do with water so I can’t really say anything about that. These work best outside of the case. I just wanted to see if having them inside would help at all, but unfortunately, it does not.

Why did you stick the strong side of the magnets to the iPhone? It’s going to be sandwiched in the case anyways. Midas well put the strong side on the MagSafe charger side.

ESR halolock ring or Mophie snap ring adapters work for what you are trying. This thing doesnt work. The only drawback on the ESR and mophie ones are they go on outside of case

You have to stick those magnets to the actual case not to the phone if its on the back of the phone is practically the same as having no magsafe at all

Dude you're supposed to remove the plastic adhesive on both sides *before* testing, it hinders the magnetism by a lot

Hello, thanks for the thought! I don’t think the skin is the issue as this is supposed to be use on the inside of the case to give any case the ability to have MagSafe. The magnets on this product seem to be weak.

You’re using the stickers wrong you’re supposed to put them on the back of the case and the other side is sticky so you can make it flush with the case

@@theavgjoe yeah that’s why the outside is also sticky, if your case is white you can put white on the sticker, if your case is black, you can out black on the sticker

👎You are a KZbinr and therefore you have to present complete and accurate information. If you haven't checked the magnetic ring with a single cover without its adhesive, then it won't stick properly..! Otherwise, without the cover, the ring sticks exactly as you showed between 7:28 and 7:33 in the video. And the second thing is that you did not show properly whether the charging is done or not by turning on the electricity.
