About the group:
Sreeusha and Sireesha from Tamil Nadu are the only sisters in India to play the mandolin. Their performances are rooted in a musical tradition which draws its lineage from Carnatic music, but has a dash and daring that is contemporary and their own.
The two sisters have given over 3,000 concerts in India and abroad. They have performed in Singapore, Muscat, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Czech Republic and Colombia.
The sisters were taught by Vidwan Sri Rudraraju Subbaraju, a disciple of the singer and violinist Sangeetha Kalanidhi Chembhai Vidhyanatha Bhagavathar, who taught Master U. Srinivas, a child prodigy sometimes referred to as the Mozart of classical Indian music.
