Just freaking amazing. I've never heard a mandolin sound like that. The chick on the 5 string bass.....man. She is getting NASTY on that thing! That turns into some serious FUNK! If they came to Texas, I'd be all over their concert! I can hear where the Doors got some of their sound from. Especially the track "The End". Sometimes youtube makes a good choice. This was AMAZING!

: From OP Nayar friends in India......As far as I know there is no such thing as a 6 string Mandolin. This is Srinivasan’s version. He got custom made short neck guitar and tunes in Karnatak way. :Thanks, looks like my 3/4 Travel Yamaha Guitar........

At 18 minutes and 20 seconds U Sreenivas ends the ‘MELAM’ returning to the starting notes of Keerthanam; crowd cheers, he bows to them graciously and responds to Balabhaskar, who smiles appreciatively, then turns to Mohini Dey, who normally goes about her business with an imperturbable demeanour, and teases her using the strings of his beloved companion to which she responds with a big smile, Balabhasakar, and the men on percussion (Drums and Ghatam) join the party, transcending the spectators to cloud nine.
