OMG!! I cant just tell how useful this serial has been in my life. I used to watch in daily during my school days , Iam from a non Hindi speaking Northeastern state and through this i learnt speaking good "shudh Hindi". Won a cluster level Chinmaya Bhagwad Gita chanting competition. And now, In UPSC journey, it helps me a lot in understanding and visualising the chapters in Ancient History. I cant thank this show enough for helping the little me so much, in so many ways. Love u all.

I think one thing that is seriously underrated about this show and wasn't talked about or addressed or appreciated enough in this round table meet is the title music and the entire background music score in each and every sequence. Alongwith the magnificent writing of the show....the background score was equally contributing to the goosebumps that we still have whenever we rewatch. It created and held the entire vibe of each scene!

Hats off to the makers of Mahabharat. I truly salute you for making such an epic show, which will remain in everyone's heart till eternity. Ten years back I don't know how but I guess my conscience told me to watch this show and God knows how many times I have re-watched it in hotstar. I have just lost the counting now. First I'll say is the cast, hats off to the makers for selecting one hell of a cast that no one I repeat no one can replace. I don't think anyone else could have justified the roles like This Cast has done. Even after watching it for so many times yet I get emotional whenever I hear the soundtrack of Mahabharat. I have watched many shows in my life from daily soaps to mythological shows but I have never heard such a soundtrack before. It's a masterpiece. Now coming to the main point, one of the main reasons why I am so much in love with this show is because of Draupadi and Arjun. Yes it is true from the starting onwards I don't know why but I have always shipped that couple and seeing Pooja and Shaheer as Draupadi and Arjun, I just couldn't stop shipping them. But yes the scenes that you showed between Arjun and Draupadi, I can't describe how perfectly you have described each and every scene so beautifully and that soundtrack of them, uffff what can I say. I have heard many romantic soundtrack but never like this. This soundtrack of Draupadi and Arjun is purely magical. It is something so divine that it actually feels as if it is god's own sound. This sound purely is a surreal feeling to the ears. It is divine. Thank you so much skt sir for making this Mahabharat and bringing it into our lives.

Chopra's mahabharat. One of the best part i loved were the dialogues choosen that were really imapactful and respectful as compared to today's top budget religious films.

I recently got to know costumes for this show were designed by Bhanu Athaiyya, the Oscar winning costume designer who also designed costumes for Amrapali, Gandhi, Lagaan etc. When I got to know I was like “tabhi… tabhi costumes looked so amazing in the show”. One of my most favorite serial on Mahabharat. I have lot of issues with the storyline but the dialogues written for various scenes were so extraordinary that it felt like the scene really exists in the Mahabharat. I love the portrayal of 'Draupadi' by Pooja Sharma. She is One of the finest actress I have ever seen. Saurav Gurjar played Bheem briliantly. I genuinely felt many times that his portryal of Bheem was close to the descriptions given in the Mahabharat. Other actors too were excellent.

We need a part 2 of this reunion with the other cast members as well. Every single one of them were brilliant. I have read Mahabharat many times, watched the old show as well, but this show exceeded all my expectations. The lessons in each episode touched my soul. Krishna, Draupadi, Arjun, Shakuni all characters were brilliantly written & acted. I don't think another Mahabharat series can be attempted in near future and if it is, it'd be a huge challenge for them to surpass this show. I have so many memories associated with this show as well, of watching it everyday, of discussing it with friends. It's a big part of my life. Thank you for making this.

I don’t remember them by their real names, but I always identify them with their roles in Mahabharata. Their performances felt divinely inspired, as though they were blessed by divine grace. Each actor brought their character to life with such authenticity that it was impossible to think of them as mere performers. While watching the show, it felt as though we were witnessing the gods themselves, not just actors playing a role. Thank you so much-we have learned a lot from it and are applying those lessons in our daily lives.🌸

I was in 12 when Mahabharat came . My nana and dada died within a span of 1 year . I had a major operation . My sister fell critical while I was on operation theatre . For one year , I lived a life which was literally hell . This was a stage where dying could have been less painful than living. You guys have no idea how you have given me HIMMMAT and POWER to survive life . Mahabharat is a show for everyone . But this is a sanjeevni booti for me which re installed my will to live in those unbearable pain and suffering . Saurabh sir - You beat everyone in motivation .

My younger daughter loves Arjun! She is just 4 years old and she saw promo of Do Patti recently and immediate response of her was "Aai he's OUR Arjun".. She is so obessed to Arjun that we had to buy her a bow and arrow. My elder daughter is huge fan of Bheem and keeps asking me to make laddoos 😃. One of the most beautiful shows that has ever been made. I cannot tell the impact it has had on my life since I was 13 year old when it started back in 2013. I didn't miss a single episode when it was aired on Star Plus at 8:30 PM from 16th September 2013 to 16th August 2014. I had already read Ramayana as it is taught mostly in Indian Homes. So I had knows characters and its simpler to understand. And I really wannted to understand Mahabharata. Glad you started this show back then. It motivated me to research and read more about Mahabharata and also other parts of Indic Pantheon. So many characters are unforgettable and Acting has been huge reason for this show's success. Be it Saurabh as Krishna, Pooja as Draupadi, Saurav as Bhima ,Shaheer as Arjuna, Praneet as Shakuni, All actors gave their best in portraying most difficult roles. I'm sure as many are saying like Shaheer,Aarav, Saurav, Pooja they would 've felt the character. The Background score, VFX were good too. But The best thing about your show is the Music, Tunes, In all sequences: be it Krishna themes or Title Track and its various versions especially in War. Or Theme Music for major characters like Arjuna,Karna, Draupadi, or portraying Draupadi-Arjuna Love. But one point (as an ardent fan of your show) I feel lagged is story telling tbh, especially Should have started from Vasus and Ganga story and her drowning King Shantanus's children one by one or Satyawati background and Sage Veda Vyasa's entry, Madri background , More into 12 year of Vanvaas of Pandavas which was basically completed in 3-4 episodes. Also Drupada never remorsed Draupadi's birth as per many writings unlike as shown in the show. Yaksha Prashna with Yudhishthira was much longer whereas only 1 question was shown in it which I really felt should have been longer or Maharishi Durvasa one or Arjuna's Adventures during his 12 years out of Indraprastha when he entered Draupadi's Kaksha as not her husband and Arjuna going to Heaven and then getting cursed by Urvashi there. Secondly, Missed many characters live Kripacharya(who was shown early in the show but later on wasn't) , Narada Muni, Ganesha: who literally wrote Mahabharata on Veda Vyasa recitation. Satyaki, Kritaverma(2 of Yadavas who survived the war out of 10 people and one on each side), Barbarika,Narada Muni, Bhagadatta, Bhurishravas kingdom Bhanumati(Duryodhana's wife), That played an important role in Mahabharata: I know casting is costly but I feel these were important characters) Even Lord Krishna's Dwarka was shown less except Balarama and Rukmini only during abduction(Also I am not sure whether Arjuna helped Lord Krishna in it) Rukmi'e Vidarbha had stayed neutral during War and he was brother of Rukmini. Also I do feel show shouldnt have been ended just at Yudhishthira's and Draupadi's coronation after War. Kunti,Vidura, Dhritrashtra,Gandhari went to mountains too He ruled for 36 years and then Pandavas' grandson Maharaja Parikshit ruled till beginning of Kali Yuga until bitten by Takshaka and his son Janmejaya too ruled. So the show even if not long And it was such a hit show Could have run for 1-2 months more if not more as due to contract with broadcasters,time slots, etc. Please take it as healthy criticism. I expected it as your show was awesome. Nevertheless it's a great show and closest to my heart ❤️

I am not sure if producers or any of the actors read viewers comments, but from bottom of my heart I want to thank you all making this masterpiece. This show can not be compared, replaced or remade in centuries. I have watched it multiple times, but want to watch it again and again, every single frame shows how much of a efforts everyone has taken to bring the show to this level of popularity. It started with a vlog of mumbaikar nikhil in which he said I always watch krishna vani, so I searched for it and btw that was a really bad phase in my life breakup, family issues etc. but when krishna enters everything starts to change.really krishna vani changed me. The Game of Dice sequence was the most artistically brilliant scene of all time. Every actor- be it the Pandavas- Bheem, Arjun, Yudhisthir, Nakul- Sahdev (right from where Sahdev said "Bhrata Bheem, bura samay usi ko kehte hai jab adhar ke liye jis rassi ko pakda jaaye, wahi sarp nikle. Mujhe bhay hai kadachit aj sab maun rahe..." to the point where Krishna consoles Draupadi when she had shut herself up in a room), be it Duryodhan, Shakuni, Karna, Bheeshm, Dhritarashtra, Kunti, Gandhari... All people came and gave their best. The other few underrated scenes which I absolutely love are: 1. Gandhari's wedding (I still brawl my eyes out when Kripacharya says "Rajkumari Gandhari ne bhi ek Bheeshm pratigya li hai...) 2. Gandhari's difficult pregnancy and her abusive relationship with Dhritarashtra, to the point when he chooses to sleep with her maid, abandoning her in disdain and pure agony after which she hits her stomach. That scene is extremely triggering to watch. Every woman in this world must have cried unconsolably. 3. Draupadi's birth 4. Draupadi's dharm-sankat, when she finally decides to wed the five pandavas. She and Krishna share a wonderful conversation, not before Krishna reminding Dhrupad that he was the one who prayed for miseries in her fate. 5. That tiny scene when Bheem shares a long stare with Draupadi after she tells them that she won't leave them... Absolutely romantic. 6. Vastraharan obviously... However one thing I loved the most in that was Bheem's acting. I for once forgot it was an actor and I was engrossed into believing that Bheem himself is on the screen. He was so enraged, and the way he was disoriented, weeping, helpless- I couldn't be anymore convinced that this big man has feelings. Chef's kiss... 7. Keechak Vadh.... It was too good. 8. Shanti Prastav.... That was perhaps SRJ's moment of glory. Although he carried the persona of Lord Krishna throughout the series, however even more than Geeta Saar, I felt the divinity shine through him when he was debating with the kauravas. The way he glared at Duryodhan- goosebumps.... There was another scene when he did the same, it was Shishupala vadh. Its kinda creepy to watch him lose his temper and be genuinely angry. So yah, I felt the POWER of Lord Krishna permeate through the screen when he was blasting all the chatacters during the Shanti Prastaav. 9. The scene where Arjun and Duryodhan visit Lord Krishna for his army. Before that Duryodhan and Balram have a wrestling match and Arjun arrives a little late to seek alliance. Balram was furious and he decided that Dwarka will be neutral in the war. Arjun explains solemnly that their side was being disregarded, but Balram furiously replies "Dyut sabha mein yuvraj duryodhan se bada adharm Samrat Yudhisthir ne kiya tha. Apni patni ko daanw par lagaya. Apne BHAIYON ko daanw par lagaya. Weh hota hai sabse bada adharm. Itna hone ke baad bhi jab unse puchha gaya kya unhe apne ap par garv hai? Tab we uth sakte the. Par unhe apne dharm par ahankar ho gaya. Aur jab kisiko apne dharm par ahankar hota hai, tab usse keval adharm hota hai." I love this whole sequence, well upto when Arjun demand's Krishna to be on their side, even when he coudnt give him the army.... 10. Karn-Kunti Samvaad. I think it was one of the most emotional scenes ever. A wonderful recreation of this iconic scene. Its one of those episodes which can be sold stand-alone... You wouldn't need a context for the scene, you are plain aware of what's going to happen. Aham Sharma and Shafaq Naaz put their soul into this scene and its truly iconic. 11. Krishna's one on one samvaad with Bheeshma and Drona. They are so practical and powerful. I often go back to them for seeking answers of day-to-day life. 12. The time when Shakuni invites Krishna for a game of dice. After the bunch of heavy intense drama, we loved some hilarity. Shakuni mama against Krishna, has always been fun to watch. 13. Gandhari's shraap. That poor woman deserved an outburst and its great that you all put it that way. Reeya Deepsi did a phenomenal job in portraying the rage of a mother who lost her kids. I believe Krishna's that dialogue (which is word to word taken from the epic BTW) is the real meaning of God. Its the basis of self-realization. One who understands it, reaches enlightenment. That's what Krishna was- everything- from joy to sorrow, from rage to punishment, from good to evil- God is everything. God rejoices victory of dharma, and silently endures all the sadness of the world. The show ends with that and I absolutely adore this show. I agree, the star of the show was the writer. Phenomenal work, and truly great effort by all actors. Thank you so much SKT, for bringing this show to us. Keep doing these podcasts every few months. We love some Behind the Scenes and we'll always love our actors, creators, writers- the whole team behind this magnanimous series.... P.S. a couple of scenes do come to my mind which are not as big but still quite wholesome. One scene was when Bheeshma was disappointed and furious at the Pandavas for marrying the same girl. At that time Draupadi visits Bheeshma and has a long conversation. That was a very wonderful scene I must say. And another was when Bheeshma feels defeated after witnessing his nation being divided. He visits Ganga's shore and asks "kiska dharm patit hua hai". At that time he was visited by Shikhandini. I loved that whole scene with Ratan Rajput's cameo. Her as Amba and then changing into Shikhandini- I believe it was technically brilliant. Also the dialogues were heavy. I still remember how Amba/Shikhandi promises to come to him when he will be dragged to hell by the stupid throne. She had so much hatred against, it was fabulous what Ratan achieved in her short role. Also now that I remember, Dronacharya's revenge was also a technically and artistically brilliant episode. The way the camera moves and then flashback comes, with the music and everything- fabulous. I think that episode can be standalone. You can sell the series based off of these episodes on an international forum....

To count on some more, like :- 1) Abhimanyu 's death sequence. 2) When Krishna comes to console Draupadi after the Cheer Haran sequence and she says... "Mujhse door rahiye Govind, main ab maleen ho chuki hu." 3) When Draupadi says that she doesn't want a war if it costs life of all her sons. And Krishna lays emphasis that it was all already destined to be that way.

Beautiful made and I recently watched it with my little kids. My kids couldn’t wait to see the next episode and we had to carve time so that we can watch it. Kids asked so many questions and learned so much from it. We loved how Krishaji came to explain things in between. We also loved that there were subtitles because we live in US and my kids needed that but they also learned so much Hindi by hearing the Hindi and Sanskrit words. I could recall... it was during 2013-14 , I was in grade 9th that Mahabharat used to be telecast at 8:30 pm. I used to complete all my tasks well before so that I could watch it peacefully.... then next day discussions of the episode with my peers. The show and it's starcast had such a mesmerizing effect on us that even the dialogues and songs were on our tips 😅.... It changed my behavior and perspective towards the life forever. Since then I started feeling a spiritual inclination within myself. 🙏 Can't believe it's been 10 years of this epic saga.... and seeing all stars' bonding like that is so damn cute. I saw this masterpiece first time while covid....I am currently again seeing it and it is giving me so much of strength as I am going through rough patch in my life currently and it is just holding me altogether and to a great extent it is healing me...Mahabharat is not just a war story ...whenever you see in whatever circumstances maharashtra gives you answer may be you wont understand instantly but sooner or later you receive the answers the strength the calm...and I am greatfull that I came across to this masterpiece😊I am thankfull

I still watch this Mahabharat for life learnings & entertainment It changed my mindset & increase my devotion to Krishna. Best Mahabharat
