I notice in this story that the Pandava brothers repeatedly spend large amounts of time of retreat in the forest, whereas I never hear of the Kaurava brothers doing so. Is it a curse or a boon to be required, repeatedly, to give up everything that was familiar and comfortable, and be forced into the discomforts of simple living which calls for a deeper journey inward, without all the distractions of city/ palace/ busy life? Perhaps it is because of so much time in the forest that the Pandava brothers are ultimately better equipped for the great battle ahead, and are also better suited to becoming excellent leaders of their people. The Kauravas, by contrast, who stayed comfortable in their palace life the whole time, perhaps did not gain the same rigorous level of spiritual training and the required strengthening of their relationships with one another, that the Pandavas gained from their many years of living simply in the forest.

One suggestion guys , Draupadi vowed not to tie her hair until she washed it with the blood of Dushasana . But the illustrator has shown Draupadi's hair in a braid. That is wrong .Please, kindly work on my suggestion.

that's just a drama shown in the tv series and there is no source(legitimate) which justifies that vow.

In the days, week, and months following their expulsion from Hastinapur, I imagine that there was much repair that needed to happen to rebuild the relationships within this family. Yudhishthira had betrayed all his five brothers, Draupadi, and most of all himself. Prior to the game of dice, had Yudhishthira become distant from his family? Now, without all the distractions of life in their palace at Indraprastha, their lives were suddenly simplified to the most basic of survival activities, and they had only each other, and themselves to focus on.

I don't think ur getting the point. Yudisthir was bound to accept any challenge. And shakuni was a master dice player. So it had to happen. And i don't think we are any smarter..just coz we know what happened doesn't makes us smarter..if same kind of situation we faced..we would have lost ourselves in seconds
