When lord Shiva incarnated as khandoba he requested to Devi Parvati to incarnate in form of mahalsa( mohini) because Shiva was amazed by mohini,s beauty Hence khandoba,s wife is also known as mhalsa

The detailed book which I have referred for the story of Devi Mahalasa has no mention about khandoba. I couldnt get any written story about khandoba, therefore i am not able relate or say anything about this 😊. I have no clue about khandoba's story, actually. I wish if some one who know about this could give some information here. Further, If I get any details, will definetely mention. Thank you.

@@Pearlodea khandoba mandir jejuri mai ek board laga hai jispe is vishay mai ek katha di gayi hai jisme ye bataya gaya hai ki jab samudra manthan mai shri mahavishnu ji ne mohini avatar liya to usase mahadevaji mohit huye tab unke sath shri paravati ji thi to vishnu ji ne unhe jab ve shri khandoba ke roop me avtar lenge tab unki patni ke room mai avtar lene ka vachan diya or apne mohini roop ko ek jyoti me parivatit kar use shri paravati mata ji mai vilin kar diya.jisase shri paravati ji ki tejo valay or roop kanti prabhav or bhi badh gaya.is prakriya ko 'mahalaya' kaha jata hai.jisaka aage mahalasa.....mhalasa aise apbhransh huaa.jab shri mahadev ji ne shri khandoba ke roop mai avtar liya tab shri parvati ji ne bhi shri mhalasa ke naam se nevase sthit ek lingayat parivar mai janm liya or is avtar mai unka roop shri vishnu ke mohini roop jaise tha jisaka shri vishnu ji ne vachan diya tha or apne mohini roop ko parvati mataji mai vilin kar diya tha.
