The games were far more entertaining and really pushed the limits of the technology without sacrificing the gameplay (usually). Now games are made to look pretty, but are empty, lifeless, and borderline unplayable in some cases.

Then with the Xbox, no interesting design or texture. The top of the system looks cool, but that's not what's being seen. The Switch at least looks unique with the Joycon that can slide on and off, but that's it. They all just lack either the visual coolness or fun that every previous system that came before them had.

Controller at 0:39 was actually the original planned controller for the PS3 known as the boomerang dualshock which was being shown off in early presentations. Everyone who tested it hated it so they reverted back to the design similar to the ps1/2 controller. Another company ended up releasing a third party variant of that controller that used to sell at Walmart for around $12. It was corded, not wireless, and it wasn't that good. Didn't have sixasis either.

This unlocked soooo many memories of looking up concert art for these consoles back in like 2008-10. The PSP2 concepts were always so interesting as well as the PSPhone. In particular the models that had a screen you could slide up to reveal the buttons and sticks. The PSP was my first and technically only portable gaming console. Never got the Vita, or switch or any DS’s. Seems like a new PlayStation handheld is coming soon but it isn’t an autonomous unit - gotta have it connected to the ps5.

I owned a ds and 2ds but I did get to play on the DS with a camera, 3ds, and psp and honestly they were all amazing in their own way. With the 2ds and psp standing out more. I didn't get much time with the 3ds but when I did mess with it I never found myself messing or playing with the 3d which is what it was supposed to be all about. It was still a pretty strong hand held device though.

The ps5 controller took inspiration from the ps4 boomerang controller. Now it has a slight curve to match the shape of a boomerang. The original ps4 boomerang controller was a share-a-game console. You're supposed to throw it and wait. It may take years for it to comeback. Someone is supposed to grab the ps4 boomerang controller and play it. Then, throw it back and hits you. You're now 34, with a loving wife and 3 kids. its the 3rd kids 4th birthday and you're bringing in the cake that costs 150$. Then, you hear glass break. In the blink of an eye your arms are gone, bleeding like they've been cut off. Everyone is crying and you see its the ps4 boomerang controller. You're kids are 30 with family's. Ever since the incident, they don't trust you with anything and despise you. Your wife divorced you 4 months after that and hates you. You're now 80, grown up alone. You have no friends and your only source of entertainment in the ps4 boomerang controller. You play it and throw it. One generation later... A new family's here living at the house. And the glass breaks. Broken none other than the ps4 boomerang controller. The cycle repeats forever

i honestly don't think flying cars would be possible until the late 2100s. Managing airways with millions of passing aircars would mean more resources that I don't think this century is capable of. Not to mention, the training needed to properly teach the public on air driving and safety. Only the richest would fly since I think that already costs a lot just to get an air driver's license.
