This is a wonderful step. Thank you so much for teaching it to us!

I like the L.A. time step. Thank you! I think it would be even more helpful if you turned around and faced the other way. It gets a little confusing for me when you’re talking about the right foot but your on the opposite foot when you face us. I think you have great form.

So many mean comments :/ geez. Thanks for the tutorial. Agree that having camera flipped would be helpful, but I made do (haven’t been dancing 20 years for nothing)

I got so lost in your explanation of what you were doing until the halfway mark. It wasn't until you started going a little faster that it was understandable. It's a cool step but your explanation at the beginning was very confusing.

Yikes.... you go 'brush brush' for a shuffle when it is 'brush spank'.... yikes. My 6 year old tappers know that a shuffle is 'brush spank'. This is the second video I have watched.... mistakes here and you really messed up the Maxi Ford... the first one I watched. You said 'jump' when you should have said 'leap'. 'Jump' is on both feet at the same time.... think jump rope basic. 'Leap' is from one foot to the other. Oh, and 'hop' is on the same foot.

Oh brother, who cares, we all make mistakes. I'm sure if you teach you've accidentally said wrong terms cause I know I have, but kids (and adults) still get the idea of what you're trying to say. Either way, despite wrong terms or not, you're still getting the idea if you're watching her feet. Words are words... at least she's trying to help someone who wants to learn tap that may not know the difference or can't afford classes. You should just be appreciative that these videos are accessible to you instead of criticizing them.

Your definition of leap can also be applied to the term jump in some more modern interpretations of the style.

@@tappenfeat Rod is the man! I love his videos! I totally agree that getting tied up in exact terminology here is a bit pedantic. I'm learning partner lead-follow dancing atm and it don't matter that I forget what half the steps are called if the follow understands the leads intent and communication as we dance. The same applies here IMO.

I hope you're not a teacher because it took you three minutes to teach this step because u talk waaayyy to much. talking too much in between causes students to quickly forget...
