I don't know why people have problem with this movie I am also a Hindu but I don't have any problem because it's not like they are showing something that's not true everything that that has been shown is true then what's the problem in fact this movie is not about anyone's religion it's about the truth it's about the people who take their religion for granted and in the name of god they do anything and such people exist in every religion Hindu , muslim as well as Christianity

Makers of the movie Maharaj cannot simply get away by saying they did not have the intention to hurt the feelings of Hindu community. We live in a country where religion is a sensitive matter and insulting someone's religion is punishable under Section 295a of IPC, therefore one must practice extra caution. This is a classic example of ethnocentric behaviour by the way of defaming a religious group. Having said that, if we are all to have a free pass on our religious opinions, then why only limit it to Hindu dharma? I am not saying that my dharma doesn't have rotten eggs but why not also make films on immoral acts done by Maulvis? Let's level the playing field. Agreed that what happened in the actual case was not acceptable BUT how about also bringing into light similar cases on Muslim communities and Maulvis? For example the Kota case and many others. Something like this was expected from Aamir Khan but did the director Siddharth Malhotra's brain cells get fried in the heat?
