I think Shyam Singha Roy did it great. Even though it was a 30-40 min sequence, they really explored many taboo themes in a cohesive way. It felt so natural with the main leads performance (nani & sai pallavi) and setting, colours, dance performances, costumes, etc.

I saw the movie today. While I agree with most analysis, I think the original history itself was captivating and made me overlook the weaknesses. The makers have missed a chance of making a great film. They were bogged down by the political atmosphere and yet credit to makers for making a movie in the current political atmosphere.

Just finished watching and I'd recommend everyone to give it a shot. It's tragic and cathartic for the nation that what happened in the 19th century is still applicable and relevant to the times we are in in the 21st century. I watched half of the movie and forgot Junaid was a star son. So far he did a good job, his expressions are on point. He looks convincing in the serious situations that his in and maybe he needs more experience in dialogue delivery but so far he is very exceptional and I am liking his work in Maharaj. I watched the movie...No uncomfortable scene in it. Movie is well made. Also reminded all the Andh Bhakth of current India who keep doing CHARAN SEWA for fake AJAIVIK GODS. Junaid might be a bit raw but he has the potential to become a good actor. Shalini Pandey was decent, like a better Alia Bhatt. Sharvari Wagh really surprised me with her acting and Gujarati accent. She brings a fresh energy to the film.

Watched the movie. It largely sticks to the real events. Jaideep Ahlawat as Maharaj was a great choice. Junaid is a fairly good actor. Overall the acting of all cast is good.
