Dr.Mahathir. His dad is an English teacher during the reign of British, a very strict and discipline dad but not an abuse kind. Dr.Mahathir is like all of us, he do fail a few subject in school but at that time things is very hard and most student have this thinking that they passed by luck. He grow up in a muslim environment and way of life. He didn't surround his life with the environment where the adult drinking alcohol, go party, or choose and pick girl to sleep with.. Even though that's what the british law allow people to do so, his wise attitude come from his father has made him wise from very early age.

IMF and World Bank are two legalised loan sharks. They don't make poor countries economy get better but made them even poorer so that the big shareholders of IMF and World Bank can take over the poor countries who loaned from the two loan sharks.

America and Japan also are the biggest shareholders in ADB (Asia Development Bank). This is the reason why Brazil suggest to Russia, China, India and South Africa to form a new bank to help any member country who need to loan for economic growth at a better rates and terms. This is the reason why BRICS was formed and the new bank AIIB(Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank) was born. Today there are 70 members as well as 27 prospective members. Your guess is as good as mine the US, Japan and most of EU countries did not join AIIB. It is said that AIIB could overtake ADB as top infrastructure project financier in Asia. Although members who invest more have bigger votes but there is no veto system like the IMF, World Bank and ADB do have. And also China who have invested 300 billion have more share of votes but cannot be more than 25% of total votes. Which means other countries although with smaller votes combine can overrule the bigger shareholders. If other members increase their shares they too can have more votes but total share of votes cannot be more than 25%.
