Great patriotic song from Manoj Kumar's Upkar. He was inspired by Lal Bahadur Shastriji to produce this movie on 'Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan' theme. He met the Prime Minister at Delhi after the 1965 Indo-Pak war and prepared the script during his train journey back to Bombay.Sadly Shastiji was not there in 1967 to watch the movie. This song should be considered a tribute to the late Prime Minister whose tenure was brief but who became the most adored leader by all Indians next only to Mahatma Gandhi.
