For those who didn't understand what's happening here, Shaheen wrote a book on depression. Her father got pissed on the question where a reporter asked whether getting out of depression/a sad person can seek an answer. And he got angry as he explains there's no answer to depression or sadness. People who say words can take away someone's depression are stupid and liars, even psychiatrist for that matter. A depressed person is a sad person who cannot seek answer from anywhere because no other person got an answer to anyone's emotional, mental pain. Alia is getting embarrassed and scared on other hand, I won't call her childish for that , I think she knew how high her dad's anger can shoot.

Most of the time introverts are depressed coz they don't know how to express, or how to mingle with society to relieve their stress... I’ve had depression for 6 months each on 3 different occasions. Couldn’t work. I’m pretty good now. I’ve pivoted in my career and am happy as a Data Scientist. Buddhist Vipassana and Shamtha meditation helps a lot. Although, things got worse before they got better. From my experience, depression seems to be a lack of spirituality. When we don't do what we are supposed to do, we feel depressed. We should be thinking what exactly is it that we are supposed to be doing and we aren't doing that. We should connect more and more with our creator( close your eyes and talk to the Almighty who you have never seen) . Trust me. HE knows you and your situation more than anybody ever can.

I'm sorry i don't agree with that my grandfather had depression because of family tensions besides he was a very spiritual person and his last words were gods names and he was doing everything he was suppose to do he was a very sophisticated person, very up on his toes everyday.. I don't think spirituality has anything to do with mental health. Does spirituality give you hope during dark times ? Yes, definitely but you can't pin point and say a person isn't 'spiritual enough' for going through mental health issues honey. It's not that easy. I respect your opinion.

Moreover, we may think all our life we are spiritual enough and we might be wrong. We might need to explore the areas we haven't explored. We might need to think a bit differently. Spirituality doesn't just means taking God's name all the time. It means a lot more than that. Your grandfather was depressed due to family tensions. He atleast knew why he was depressed. If there is a reason already then I don't think we can blame his brain alone for that. You must be knowing more though. When people are very spiritual, they just don't care about worldly tensions as they take that as an opportunity to gain in hereafter. Not judging him or any depressed person here. Not stating either that depressed people aren't trying to be spiritual. All I mean is that this might be a hint for them to do certain things more. Nevertheless, I am not stating any facts. These are just my opinion which can be right or can be wrong.
