Fabulous review, classily presented too!! Just a question though, I hear from other reviewers that Alturas isnt as planted on high speeds but does just fine at City speeds. However some say otherwise! What to believe really? Asking coz I've booked one and I drive max on City roads with occasional highway excursions. Besides, am a rational driver and don't generally cross 2k on RPM, so prefer soft foot on accelerator.

This car is tuned for international market while in Australia, almost every owner of Rexton (G4) gets suspension upgrades which makes it a very smooth ride on every surface. On top of all goodies, this vehicle can tow 3.5 tons, best in it's class! Should add boot capacity and how buyers can use the cabin with flexible sitting arrangement otherwise best review video ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I wish this didn't make me sound like some kind of elitist, but I was surprised by the presentor's statement that buyers for big SUVs in other countries buy them to make a statement and NOT for the extra utility. Because my tastes are quite different, I don't consider this to be that attractive a vehicle, but then most new cars and trucks sold here in the U.S. look ugly to me with their abundance of contrived slashes and bulges. But even though the majority of vehicles on CarWale are not and probably never will be sold in the U.S. I am still interested in these reviews. As always, very well presented. We do get Mahindra tractors here, though, so it is interesting to read the comments about quality. Loved the comment: "...imagine I am in a loose skirt, or Sari. No, don't imagine that." Made me laugh. I can not imagine ANY car or truck tester anywhere asking viewers to visualize that picture.

Mahindra’s are cool,they give you so many features for that particular price range which it’s competitors don’t,but these features like the sunroof motor fails,the touchscreen isn’t that responsive in a few years and it’s shitty plastic interiors looks great but feels like shit,and when it comes to the engine the first 7000-12000kms is smooth and then you start getting some weird rattling sounds and so many other issues,this is where the Toyota fortuner takes the lead with simple and minimal interiors but an impressive engine reliablity 💯💯💯

I love the truck. in fact my boss owns one. Very tough guy. Am even planning to buy one too. But I have a problem, in my country the word mahindra is traumatizing. They were longest used brand in police service. If u mention that u spotted a mahindra coming just kn there is insecurity. Now tell me how do I go pick my daughter from school with a mahindra! Teachers will run away from school! The word mahindra mean stronger. Wen boss comes to work all workers are like ,"av seen the mahindra is around." 🤣🤣😂😂

It maybe good or better on paper but is it better than the Fortuner on the long run on the road? Fortuner is proven and tested durable and capable specially the engine, it doesn't break easily... It may lack upgrades on the infotainment but at least you won't go to shops often because of car failures for repairs.... no hate,Just sayiin... Either way it's a nice review...

Toyota’s reliability is the stuff of legends. Toyota’s SR5 frame is virtually indestructible and Toyota trucks routinely run beyond 2,00,000 km. Mahindra SUVs have sex-appeal but I have yet to see one that doesn’t show age after 50,000 km. Toyota for me.

I have a question in regards to this car as mahindra owns the rexton automobile company it is entirely designed and manufactured by them and rebadged as mahindra and sold in india then why mahindra is getting the credit for the car it is only a rebadged version all the credit goes to rexton engineers not mahindra. Mahindra is acting as a platform in india to sell the cars for rexton, so when in comes to credibility and appreciation all goes to south Korean engineers the statement made by me is totally neutral no hardfeeling for mahindra as it is one of my favorite car manufacturers in India.

It's because mahindra saved Ssangyong from getting bankrupt and ssangyong is no more an independent entity. All of the decisions are made by mahindra only. Like ssangyong wanted to enter usa market, but mahindra refused for some reasons. Mahindra owns around 75% of its shares making it the parental brand. Surely, the credit of this car goes to korean engineers but it's the mahindra's money on which the whole r & d was done. Now, mahindra and ssangyong is working together and they'll gonna share upcoming engine and platform etc etc. Just like xuv300 uses tivoli's platform
