Two days back me and my family went to Mahendra show room to book Marazzo. Exterior look tempted us but after seeing the interior we desided not to go forward as even higher end interior also not impressive. From there we went directly to Tata show room to see Hexa vehicle. It looks very nice. No comparison between these two vehicles.

This is a nyc comparison video.. I liked it... And marazzo is just the updated version of xylo in my opinion.. Mahindra done a great job in pushing their limits... They have got nyc fit nd finish and hope to see more premium in them but hexa is class apart in every aspects in my opinion.. I dont think marazzo can return 12 kmpl in city with 7 or 8 passengers on board where as hexa can return 12 kmpl with 6 or 7 passengers on board in city nd 16+ in highways depending on the road conditions as i have tested it.. Bt in all mahindra have done a great job but still hexa is value for money to me.. Nd in my opinion if u r going for hexa then go for automatic nd u will fall in love with it immediately..

the Hexa is a brilliant car from the Tata stable but it is in a different segment and cannot be compared to the marazzo. the direct competitor to the Hexa us the XUV500 and the competitors to the Marazzo are Toyota Innova crysta and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. So in reality this comparison doesn't really make sense. many of the auto reviewers don't really understand the meaning of the term "SEGMENTS" in the car market P.S. the last stupid comparison i saw was between the innova crysta and the xuv500 (again different segments) PRICING AND THE SIZE OF THE VEHICLE ARE NOT THE ONLY FACTORS WHICH DEFINE A SEGMENT, DRIVETRAINS AND SETUP OF THE CARS ARE ALSO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT IN THE GIVEN COMPARISON.

All I am saying is that Toyota Innova crysta, Mahindra marazzo and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga are MPVs i.e.they are people carriers. Tata hexa and XUV500 are crossovers/half SUVs because of the drivetrains& construction. Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Safari storme, Toyota fortuner and Ford endeavour are proper SUVs equipped with proper low range transfer cases. These are the segments I am talking about. Then the 4th segment is the proper crossover which includes Hyundai creta, Maruti Suzuki vitara brezza, Tata nexon, Ford EcoSport which are basically hatchbacks on steroids.

@@apsuak Since 5 months i m happy with my Hexa XT. After 5000km servicing was good. Hexa is very comfortable car in segment. I expereance rivals that is why i m saying. I have fortuner 4wd and XUV 5oo w10 too. But Fortuner is not that comfortable like Hexa and 4 years old XUV has many faults. New XUV is good but still i can't trust them. I really enjoying my Hexa, inspite of more heavier than Fortuner there is no big different about pickup. 0-100kmph is 13 sec in 2300kg of weight which is 100-150kg more.

Lodgy was a product launched with a lot of fanfare but has almost disappeared from view. It is not even preferred by taxi operators, with an almost similar performing 1.5ltr engine. This MPV may face a problem with full load, especially going up-hill. Though I do not think the Mazzaro will go the Lodgy way, it should have been given more power (maybe a better engine) and some more goodies. This will surely have a good market in Ertiga's taxi segment, especially with the new Ertiga being launched in petrol mode! Hexa is a better buy for family use. The biggest purpose of these vehicles is travelling long distance, thus Hexa does stand out as a better product!
