Comment on their row space is an absolute joke. Only Safari and Innova crysta have usable 3rd row for adults in under 50 lakh segment.

Recently visited Mahindra showroom, I liked the car for most the points mentioned in the video. I am convinced about quality of this product and feel proud that Indian companies are making such noteworthy products at home, however, I am going to talk about only the negative points because it feels like nobody wants to address those elephants in the room. From practical usage point of view this car has quite a few problems and Mahindra needs to do something about it. 1. Second and third rows are fixed, which means no adjustments possible whatsoever, even with captain seat variant. 2. Third row seats fold together, which means if there are 5 people travelling and some luggage needs to be carried, you cant fold 6th seat individually. In short you have to force three passengers in middle row. You can do this with Safari, not sure what XUV provides. Also, the third row folding mechanism looks bit strange if you compare that with Safari's. 3. Touch screen is one of the most important aspects from driver's point of view, it is the only gateway to important features. If he/she cant interact with the car comfortably, the features simply become unusable. Imagine driving at 70kmph on a high way and struggling at the same time with that touch screen. No touch screen (or laggy touch screen) = 0 control over multiple features, such as volume, speaker balance etc. 4. The last point is about all Mahindra cars not just Scorpio - In the days of instant food and cheap flights, the idea of paying 24L to purchase a car that is going to arrive after 1.5 years does not sound digestible. I understand that putting together a car is much more complex task and requires more planning and efforts etc., however, no other manufacturers (TATA, Toyota) need this long time - which makes me think something is missing. By the time this car would arrive at my doorsteps there would be at least two new products by competitors mentioned above. @MotorOctane : I like your videos, this one is definitely good but please make sure to highlight the missing features in your videos, otherwise it simply turns into an advertisement. For example, you show that steering wheel can be tilted but conveniently you do not talk about the missing feature of telescopic movement. There are so many other points that need to be inspected in detail, I wish you had covered those in your video.

Slowly, MotorOctane feels like being paid for reviews, especially about Mahindra. Mileage, software update, rear camera, 3rd row sitting. They have softened or totally avoided all these points.

@@inpursuitofhappiness366 people who don't travel daily for 40 kms will not opt for a diesel engine. Other option petrol engine. Mileage is 8-9 kms. Even for the base model. Rear seating was the complain in Xuv 700. The same is the case with scorpio n. 3rd row sitting is poor. Just to target the youth Mahindra should not go for tagline of power. No one is going to travel at 180 km/h on a regular basis.

Sir, features like hydraulic bonnet, auto-dim irvm, ventilated seats, third row ac vents are quite essential in daily life especially seeing the segment. You should've talked about them :)

No negatives mentioned in this video. Like Auto dimming mirrors, no sliding second row, no AC for 3rd row, door cup holders cannot hold big bottles, rear floor is uneven with seat folded etc. Better to include plus and minuses

I somehow feel motor Octane has started giving biased reviews towards Tata and Mahindra cars. It's totally fine to support Indian car Manufacturers but also needs to highlight things that can be improved. I am saying this after watching multiple videos of motor Octane

Your reviews are generally very good and informative. But this review, in general was a good review as usual but i feel you should hv called out on mahindra for what they have given crappy in their car, i .e the reverse camera! It is not with this car, their cameras really suck, n no its not a software issue (which you justified on mahindra’s behalf) and they STILL have not activated the apple car play even on mahindra xuv700 so i am assuming that scorpio will not have it too, which you should have pointed out. For the first time, i felt this review was more of paid content. Cos you should call out the company for their shortcomings, like giving such a crappy camera on such a premium car. Please, i m not trolling you, but giving an honest feedback on the review 😇😇

I agree with you Safi .. i didnt feel this review very genuine.. Reverse camera is sore to the eye. i dont think software update can fix this. it more looks like an hardware issue. It has the most impractical boot space with no flat folding of the seats or split seats. Third row is no where you can sit for 3 to 5 hours with that knee upright position.. its same with other SUVs but it should be highlighted as negative, Also for third row there is no AC vents.. no telescopic steering. instead of speaker they should have given AC vents. This vehicle will touch 25 lac On road if we opt of Diesel 4wD AT.. and for such premium price i think the above points matter as its entering the luxury price tag. No doubt this vehicle is well capable vehicle and well built.. but shortcomings should be highlighted by media properly instead of just merry songs.

To be honest ride quality is little bouncy when i test drove it on highways,holds good on soft off roadingpot holes,brakes r good,steering is very light n has amount of feedback still not connected to me,plastics used are little cheap,guage used in toughened glasses of windows are thin,last row is highly Impractical, underthigh support cud have been better,front seats r really good,space is fine,petrol engine is top notch,gear shifts pretty smoothly in AT gearbox,ride is not anywhere near plushy,nose dive is present, understandable though for it's size,body roll is controlled ..It was z8 petrol AT variant.For the price range of 23lakhs onroad I found it okish..there will be competition from Tata,MG ..if u want an 4wd alongside little luxury experience then this the product stands good,otherwise I feel there are better products..if for only 4wd experience go for Thar..I may be wrong this is what I felt to reveal..My opinion is guys please test ride the both diesel n petrol variants for better conclusions, reviews might give u cues but trust me dnt go by review alone,just test drive the vehicle extensively n m not tech savvy at all..

Dear Rachit, I understand that in most of the reviews you cannot talk about the short comings of the product specially when there is some kind of financial benefit involved but completely ignoring the short comings also defies the intent of "Asli test". For example you edited the video not to mention about the reach adjustment of the steering wheel missing. You also did not mention about fixed nature of the second row. You did not mention that you cannot reach any of the bottles kept in the door with the door closed. You did not mention that the rear wiper does not swipe full 180 degrees and can cause visibility issues during night or in rains. You did not mention about the ac vents missing on third row. You did not mention the rear door opening sideways means driver needs to be careful while parking in tight spots else you cannot open the rear door to load or unload luggage. You are perhaps the only reviewer who mentioned that third row is hugely comfortable. In all reviews the third row seating space were heavily criticized. You covered what is present in the car and very conveniently ignored all the essentials missing in the car. I am not talking about the missing features here like Auto dimming IRVM, ventilated seats etc . I am only talking about limitations in the current features and offering. Having said that the new Scorpio N is a giant leap from earlier Scorpio. 4x4 is also a big attraction. But I wish these small but essentials were taken care. A potential buyer should be made aware of what he buying and it should be a conscious choice. But your video of "Asli test" fails miserably here.

@@motoroctane that is great if you had done for missing third row ac vents and fixed second row but they should atleast have a mention. But not sure if you covered other limitations. They are equally important and can be deal breaker for buyer. Why did stop short of saying the lack of reach adjustment for steering for example?

Disappointed to see a very misleading description of the 3rd row seat comfort. It is clear that the knees up position is awkward and only suitable for short distance rides maybe. Did not expect MotorOctane to underplay that, not sure why Rachit did it.

Big daddy of SUV's really 🤨 3rd row is almost useless for adults, lack of under thigh support especially on long trips, 2nd row seats there's no slide movements, cameras (both rear & front) are not up to mark, sound system seems good cause it's a Sony set-up but those rear roof mounted speakers could have been place in some decent way it looks like after market fitting , steering wheel not telescopic just tilt option, rear boot space almost zero after folding the rear seats you have space for your belongings, ha you can say it's a driver's car and not a passenger's car. A big bulky vehicle which makes no sense! In short zero practicality vehicle.

You guys should mention the model that you are reviewing when telling about the car. A layman who might not be aware of model nomenclature etc might assume that features you are showcasing might be available throughout across all models. For eg. You initially mentioned 18 inches wheel which is something exclusive for z8L, similarly interior quality touch and feel etc that you mentioned is for z8L/z8 not for z2-z6

Scorpio N will snatch other SUV segments if they workout some drawbacks. Second row sliding seats, 3rd Row AC, telescopic stearing, additional USB charging for 2 nd rows, Panoramic sun roof, 360 degree camera, rear camara quality. If all these features fulfilled then Mahindra Scorpio N will be definitely big daddy.

MISLEADING and PAID Video. First time total biased and paid video from Mahindra we all believe. What a trick to minimize the issues like zero thigh support in 3rd row, almost NIL boot space with 3 rows up, Laggy camera with little display, Hard plastics above the dash board. You simply made them disappear and kept praising the vehicle as they are giving this vehicle to MotorOctane team for free if you keep highlighting the positives and diving the viewers to buy this. You confirmed the same when you tried comparing this with a Fortuner, which is king of the segment & supported MnM when the reverse and forward camera clearly showing too laggy and you supported that with a Software update that we all never know will release when. Too bad.

As per brochure of Scorpio N Z2 varient, Mahindra should provide touch screen infotainment with steering mounted audio control but in your video and all creators this feature is missing why not you all all are highlighting this.

Have checked the Scorpio N at dealership. Absolutely DISAGREE with you on 3 points 1. Very poor under thigh support, all rows Worst in the segment 2. The worst 3rd row on any CAR SOLD in India currently. You say its better than fortuner, kisko ullu Bana rahey ho . 3.Thats subjective but that brown dash fabric looks great in photos and videos , in actual it looks and feels CHEAP.Better Mahindra would have give black soft touch plastic. Handsome car with great engine options let down by pathetic Passenger seating and boot space.

Sir would you tell us that scorpio N 4x4 kerb weight is 2670 kg and fortuner 4x4 is 2140 kg. Fortuner has 500 NM torque and scorpio has 400 NM torque. Scorpio N will perform very poor in offroading and will run very sluggish. Looks all reviewers are sold , no one wants to talk the reality. And fools are going gaga over..rear wheel chasis..4x4. Its better to take xuv 700 or safari in that cost that will take you anywhere faster and can tackle offroad also.

Rachit this video was a BAD experience, MotorOctane stood for providing "Asli Test". But this looks like a paid review by Mahindra Mkt team. Your boot space info was wrong, thrid seat review wrong, storage space capacity in the car is very less, telescopic steering no, I mean were you really sold out so dirt cheap??

No match as far as the Scorpio N SUV is concerned but I am Completely disappointed with the look from the Back it literally broke my heart and secondly they should have given seats adjustment of a second row as just only reclining is available so that it could give little extra comfort to the last seat and thirdly they should have also given half half seat fold adjustment to the last row instead of the whole third row fold to serve the purpose in much more better way, But everything is ok and can be Compromised but Look from the Back is just like Shit 👎as far as my choice is concerned baaki sabki apni apni choice hai

Your videos always feel like paid videos. Learn something from international car reviewers like Edmunds cars. They test a car thoroughly and tell negatives about top brand cars. But in India all reviewers are engaged in praising a car. Maybe this behaviour is to get a review unit from the manufacturer. How can everything postive about any car? A consumer complains about negatives after spending a big amount on car. So it is a humble suggestion to concentrate on problems in the vehicles rather than making it like a promotion video of the product. I don't see any difference in your test and advertisement made by the company. FYI most of the Indian car reviewers are doing the same.

Bhai, my question is, isme xuv jesa 3rd raw seats kyun nahi diya? 50 50 fold and also the flat floor after seats folded. Ofcourse due to ladder on frame, they couldn't get a flat floor. But theu could atleast try by rasing the lift and peovind 50 50 fold atleast.

I love everything extremely but extremely I hate it's ground clearance. And also most important thing that I will notice it's service cost in future. Big daddy tag not for this car. Ford Endeavour is big daddy. Toyota fortuner is big son. Younger son is the best tag for Scorpio N

3rd row space and luggage .. disappointed me. Niether justified for the passengers nor for the luggage. At least if the floor was Flat...i could have got rid of the 3rd row and used as a 5 seater. Un even floor, rear wiper cleans only half way...i wonder if they could do something ???Rest everything is value for money.

Video with wrong title. Asli test should be with negative and positive and let the person decide which is +ve for one person or vice versa. I have watched the sm video of other youtuber and they are like steering me yeh hai and yeh nhi hai. Bt i know the financial pressure from the company. Cz company wants to promote and nobody wants to here -ve. Fair enough on ur part.

You can only see the bonnet with height adjustment seat , only available in top end . The base variant does not even have a reverse parking camera . In Asli test please do a reverse parking without a camera in CITY . I am little surprised with the review its very one sided , not expected from you.
