Mate, great decision on the upgrade and I bet you just love the ride. And to add, I think you did extremely well with the trade in on the Mahindra. I’m really happy for you and the family and am looking forward to future vids. Have a good one Graham and enjoy the big Toyota. 👍🍺

Thank you so much for your support. It is very much appreciated. I can't wait to get the bullbar, gvm upgrade and snorkel on the big 200. Have an awesome new year mate. 😀🙏

Made the right choice. The Mahindras are a bloody good thing for the money but mahindra just don't have the back up and spare parts to fix any major issues. We've recently dropped mahindra cars from our dealership due to the shitshow they put is through with warrantys and lots of other stuff, new scorpio N, good lord what a stuff around they are. Breakdown in the middle of nowhere in a Mahindra you're screwed, in a Toyota? Probably a dealer within a 100km with the part you need to get going. And that's the big difference. Toyota still have their issues. 200 series airboxes are a good example, make sure you check that regularly they really do let dust past the seals very easily. You'll definitely be happy with it regardless. Especially towing.
@grahamharris4wdadventures538 ай бұрын
Yep, that is definitely one of the reasons I went back to Toyota. As for the airbox, I'm swapping it out for a psico airbox. We have run one in our Colorado for years now. Thanks for the feedback mate, and have an awesome Christmas. 😀 👍

Cheap may b good but not for Australia. Safety rating is low. Never can take place of 79 series.

@bradyokelly9396 they were made as an alternative to a can am buggy for farmers. Never would or could be an alternative to a 79. Totally different In true off road capabilities. And definitely after market accessories.

You got really smart with the new car. Keeping my Mahindra Thar since 2010 forever here in SA, for the rough stuff. Its a hart thing! You are what you are and thank you for that. Subbed because of the Mahindra and your honesty, off coarse.

Thank you so much for your support and feedback. I do miss my mahindra. It's just a shame mine was so unreliable. Just to many issues to deal with all the time. I shouldn't have to deal with things like that for a brand new car. But oh well, we move on in life. The 200 series cruiser will be a different project, and sometimes I have never tackled before. Thanks again👍🙏😀

Thanks for your honesty. I’m considering one but as I have a 4hr drive to work every week maybe a shouldn’t. Love the videos. Good to see local stuff.
@grahamharris4wdadventures535 ай бұрын
Thanks mate. I was sick and tyred of car reviewer's just talking about all the good stuff and nothing about the things that matter. Like can I get spare parts, what is the after sales service like and things like that. I wish I had a proper informed decision before I bought mine, but there was nothing on KZbin about them. Especially locally based information. Mate in all honesty they are a great little ute. But the chances of getting a dud seems higher then most other brands. I do like them, but I would never buy another mahindra. Just not worth the risk. Thanks for watching, and thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated 🙏 👍

Thanks mate. Yeah I enjoyed turning the mahindra in to something you don't see every day. Ait was a great little tourer. And I'm pretty excited to see how this 200 turns out as well. Cheers, and have an awesome Christmas. 😀

25k for a 3 year old Mahindra isn't bad for a trade in. You never get top dollar on a trade in
@grahamharris4wdadventures538 ай бұрын
Yeah, and no mater what mods you have done to it, a dealership will never give you any extra forcthem hey. I knew I'd take a big loss on it. But I was pretty keen on getting away from it as well.

Greetings and thanks for the vid...have just returned from Nepal where, easily, at least seven out of ten vehicles are Mahindras. They're everywhere and just seem to keep going, however proximity to India and thus almost immediate access to a huge spare parts inventory surely helps with their longevity. Good luck with the 200...
@grahamharris4wdadventures535 ай бұрын
G'day mate. Yeah that's the big issue hey. If only a couple of things in management would change and get the parts and reliability up, these things could be a serious contender in this country. It's a great platform that just needs fine tuning. Thanks for watching, and thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated 🙏.

The problem with Mahindra is when that 5 year Warranty runs out it's going to hit your hip pocket on parts as Mahindra don't let other companies make generic parts. So you just can't walk into Supercheap and buy a simple thing like a Oil filter you have to buy a over price one from a Mahindra dealership. Plus Mahindra must have Egg on it's face after the Scorpio zero star NCAP
@grahamharris4wdadventures538 ай бұрын
In all honesty mate, I really don't think mahindra care one single bit about its customer base here in Australia. And as for aftermarket parts availability, you are dead right. Thanks for watching mate and have an awesome Christmas. 😀

That's exactly right. Makes you wonder if the new global ute will have the same poor build quality when it comes to Australian shores.

Probably more options than a candy shop woth the 200 😅 👍

That's exactly right mate. The mahindra was near impossible to get aftermarket parts for. But the Toyota has an abundance of parts for choice. Thanks for watching, and thanks for your support. Gave an awesome Christmas and a wonderful new year.😀👍

Hi mate no hate just respect and thanks for all yhe insights into the Mahindra. It is sad it's the end of an eta i enjoyed do much. I am ony third warranty issue and o haven't clocked up 25 000km yet. Does nothing for my confidence going solo remote. I don't think i will be able to take that chance. I seriously love my Mahindra tho and will prpbs keep it untill warranty runs out and get a 70 series for my retirement vehicle. The Mahindra ticks all my boxes except this cloud of reliability and of course lack of aftermarket products & support. Also looong waiting time on parts. Best of luck to you and family and thanks for your honesty, knowledge and sharing your Mahindra journey for us

G'day mate. Yeah your story sounds a lot like mine hey. It is a real shame, because like you I did like the little mahindra. It's just that constant thought of will it get me home, that let's it down. I certainly hope you will stick around on my channel and see how our family adventures go in the new beast. Thanks forxall your kind words. Stay safe mate. 🙏 👍

@@grahamharris4wdadventures53 will stick around, keen to see how the 200 pans out. My retirement goal at present is 76 but worried about lack of room. I know you don't have a problem with towing a trailer but I absolutely hate it. No family tho so 76 could work. 200 is kinda same similar concept being a station wagon type. If the greens get their way we won't own off-road vehicles at all in future, another thing to consider before spending big bucks on a LC.
@grahamharris4wdadventures538 ай бұрын
Yeah, a 76 is a nice cruiser. The only reason I went a 200 compared to a 76 is, at roughly the same price I get so much more in a 200. And the twin turbo power is so much better then a standard vdj. If I'm paying V8 rego I want V8 performance. Lol

Thanks for your honesty. I was thinking of getting a Pik Up, but watching your videos and the problems you had was concerning and although everything was repaired under warranty, the delays in getting back on the road is a real concern.
@grahamharris4wdadventures534 ай бұрын
Exactly right. I was lucky enough to have quite a few cars to choose from to get me back to work, especially when it was parked up getting fixed so often. But if this was my only car, and it was having issues like this, I would be absolutely furious 🤬. Not only did I have trouble with mahindra and their warranty, but also the dealership. I remember getting it back after waiting a month to get the steering rack and an engine wiring harness replaced, and finding out they had lowered my torsion bars 50mm without my permission. The bloody thing couldn't even turn in to my driveway without scrubbing my tyres on the guards. They refused to fix it and I had to spend $140 getting them wound back up and another wheel alignment 🤬🤬🤬. I definitely won't buy another one. But when itcwas running I did enjoy taking it off road. Thanks for watching, and thanks for your feedback. 😀👍

Sorry to hear about the mahindra, thought I heard good things about them nd how good they were, guess if your going out to bumf$k no where u need something that’s gonna get u home. They are coming out with a hilux competitor, will be interesting to see how that goes, was thinking of looking into it but not sure now, kinda heartbreaking, sick of Toyota, and there over priced (still breaks situation). Owned a brand new rav and at 30k the door locks started to go on it. There warranty is not really that amazing so if u get a dud it’s gonna be rough. But it did sell for more than i bought it for from a car dealer which surprised me.
@grahamharris4wdadventures535 ай бұрын
Yep, the good old Toyota tax. Lol. Having said that, my 200 has performed excellent in getting me to work and back without the worry of if it will make it. Mahindra are so hit and miss with their vehicles, and the parts are stupidity hard to get. At least with a Toyota or other brand, parts are usually over night. We have had an awesome run out of our Colorado, and I'd buy another one any day over a mahindra again. I do miss it, but that's only because I put so much money and time in to building it as a full time tourer. But it's not much point having a touring set-up if it is unreliable hey.

Yeah, but a patrol drinks more fuel then a 200, especially around town. And I didn't pay that price for mine. People said the HSV SENATOR was over priced as well. Thanks. Yeah I'm glad I got the 200 series landcruiser now. Mahindra Australia didn't like how I was using my mahindra off road. So when I had problems with it they certainly didn't care about me. It's that lack of looking after its valuable customers that certainly had a big part of my decision to go Toyota. Thanks for watching. 👍🙏
