Two years into our Mahindra and we love it Birdsville, FNQ, an 8500km road trip round the Eyre and up the guts of SA / NT towing the camper Nothing has failed in two years Cheap to buy and cheap servicing,, reliable, frugal (900km from an 80 litre tank) and the aftermarket parts are now starting to appear (so in the meantime we just made our own canvas seat covers 😋 ) It's what a utility used to be, before the marketing knobs brainwashed everyone into thinking they needed an $80,000 bro-dozer

Yep they have an old school charm about them hey. I'm glad you've had a good run out of yours mate. They seem to be a bit hit and miss on the reliability. Some of my mate's haven't had a single issue, while others like myself seem to have annoying things go wrong. That aside, they definitely eat up the kilometres really easy. I'm doing about 1000km every fortnight in mine, and it's an easy time behind the wheel. The more popular these things become, the more after market parts will appear. It is also great to see your family out doing these adventures with you. great Cars! how do you find the Mahindra rear auto diff lock? does it lock quickly or it allows some initial will spin, thanks
@grahamharris4wdadventures533 ай бұрын
Before I sold it, I was using it quite often on the 4x4 tracks. And I found the diff lock worked just fine. Not to aggressive, but predictable. Mine was a manual gearbox, so the diff lock kicked in pretty early if you dropped the clutch. I did test drive an automatic gearbox version, and found it took way to long for the diff to engage. You really had to give it some reves to get it to lock up. I actually liked the diff lock in mine. It was the one thing that didn't go wrong with my mahindra. Thanks for watching 👍😀

G'day mate. At 20k it spat the carrier bearing on the tail shaft. At 40k the steering rack and the engine wiring harness failed. Both had to come from India resulting in the vehicle off the road for a month. 65k the turbo failed. 70k the DPF sensor was filling up with water. In amongst all of that it had heaps of electrical dramas with sensors filling up with dirt and water. Door cards kept rattling, and constantly coming up with lights on the dash. The worst thing is MAHINDRA tried blaming me for the issue. I was told that my 4x4 should NOT be driven off road as much as what I was doing. Can you imagine if Toyota had told its customers not to take their 4x4's off road...... in the end I got sick of it and mahindra. So I traded it in on another cruiser. Mahindra are an absolute bunch of self centred AHOLES and will never fix the problems.

Lol. Here in Australia people who drive mahindras are considered wise and thoughtful. But I do feel a little gangster in it😀😀

As usual.. this comment section is full of indian bots claiming mahindra is the best😂 its only worth it if u get it for half the price of a Toyota hilux😂😂
@grahamharris4wdadventures53 Жыл бұрын
It was less than half the price of a hilux🤣🤣🤣. It's definitely not the best 4x4 on the market, but it's definitely one of the best bang for your bucks 4x4 in the group.

Increíble pero cierto , mahindra desafia cualquier marca y les da garrote..
