G'day mate and thanks for watching. I've had a few people message me with the same problem. Try this. The part number for the front shocks is trakryder 9530. And the rears is sportryder 9024. And the leaf springs come from a company called SUSPENSION SUPPLIES AUSTRALIA who make bluemax springs out of Brisbane. Try calling them if pedders can't help. Hope this helps mate.

@grahamharris4wdadventures532 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching mate. I don't think it will make to much difference in Hight as the new springs I got were definitely different in both load carrying and Hight design. Just changing shocks would make it a nicer ride, but you wouldn't put longer ones on to do that. You would only put longer ones on for travel with different Hight springs, otherwise you'll pull the guts of them out. Hope this helps you out mate.👍

Mate, could you please tell me how you find the Mahindra allloy trays? Would you advise getting one or better to go, custom etc? Thanks.
@grahamharris4wdadventures532 жыл бұрын
G'day mate. I don't personally have an alloy tray as mine is steel. But I have looked at a few. They seem to be built better then previous designs, most of all because alloy welding is given them more strength then the old riveted version. They are lighter and cheaper then the steel one, but you can punish the steel one more than the alloy one. If I had the choice again I would custom make one myself, like I did for our hj45. Way cheaper and more useful. The factory steel one is bloody expensive, we paid about $5000 for ours because it was painted the same colour as the cab. Hope this helps mate. 👍

@grahamharris4wdadventures533 жыл бұрын
I have a set of 15x8 with a negative 13 offset to go on with a set of road X all terrain tyres. They will be going on Friday if all goes well. We aren't sure if the tyre will fit being a 31x10x15 without grabbing on the inner guard somewhere. So it will be a bit of trial and error until we find something to fit. Bit of a guinea pig move, but if it works I can post it up and give a lot of other mahindra owners some ideas what the can and can't run under it.

First of all thank you for watching. I've got it booked in today for a wheel alignment as you are right, it will definitely need one. I've got EFS suspension on 3 of our other 4x4's our Colorado, HJ45 and BJ70 cruiser's. We like the EFS but I noticed that a lot of mahindras were running it. So I thought I'd try something different in the pedders gear to give it a real world comparison against the EFS. Once I get our new rims and tyres on Friday I will be able to give it a bit better go and offer some good feedback on how the set-up works. Thanks again mate, and I always appreciate the feedback 👍

hi Graham, do you ever see this replacing your colorado as your "main" 4wd? or doesnt tow the toy hauler well enough?
@grahamharris4wdadventures533 жыл бұрын
G'day mate. Simply answer is NO. The Colorado was tuned to pull the toy hauler and does so with relative ease. The mahindra is my work ute, it's capable of great fuel economy whilst being comfortable. And it has the capability of towing either my boat or the toy hauler if it needs to. The mahindra is 120kw and 320nm and the Colorado is 140kw and 687nm at the wheels. So the Colorado will always be the main tow vehicle of the toy hauler. But it's great to know that if need be, the mahindra can pull it. Hope this helps mate and thanks for watching 👍

Hey mate good work, getting my S10 next week!! Have u considered installing a catch can and fuel filter ? I'm wanting to do these mods to mine but no one can tell me if they fit ?! Cheers
@grahamharris4wdadventures533 жыл бұрын
G'day and thanks for watching. I asked my mahindra dealer about a catch can the other day and his response was they don't really need one. The engine is so unstressed it doesn't develop enough crank case pressure to warrant a catch can. More modern designed and and more high strung engines like in our Colorado definitely require a catch can. But I will be looking in to it a bit more, and probably do a short video on it. As for a separate filter, you can never have enough filters in your fuel line I reckon. The standard one already has a water detection system built in to it. But I am also looking at putting another one in. Thanks again mate 👍

Great set up Graham. Any plans on a safe tune to eeek out a few extra kws and more importantly torque? In SA they have a very mild tune that take outputs up to 129kws and 399nms. Very safe and no warranty issues, due to the low state of said tune.
@grahamharris4wdadventures532 жыл бұрын
G'day mate and thanks for watching. I'm going to wait until out of warranty to do a tune. That sounds about all I would probably go in a tune anyway. I'm not actually after a lot of power out of it because we have a tune running in our Colorado that pumps out 140kw and 687nm at the wheels already, and it will do all of the hard work. The mahindra doesn't struggle to much pulling the boat as is. But yeah I will definitely look after the warranty period has finished. Thanks for the feedback mate👍

Naa, pedders, EFS and dobinsons from Rockhampton are the only after market suspension suppliers as far as I know. Just be careful putting those adapters on as it could void your warranty from mahindra and might not be road legal with the transport company. Insurance and warranty people go through everything they can to avoid paying out a claim. Been there before and it's frightening to know if your found to have a defect or illegal modification to your car they won't pay a thing.

Wow that is so cool. The little Suzuki is a popular choice over here an Australia as well. They are a fantastic 4x4, and the fact they weigh a lot less then others means it can go so many more places then the bigger landcruisers and Nissan patrols can.
