It's the 13 second game. That is what it's already being called. I would like the Grim Reaper game after Reid's quote. This was an all timer performance by Mahomes. And he did it against the best defense in the nfl! He was a sorcerer. Some of those throws he made no one else makes.

13 second game...idk if that will endure... not catchy and later on people will say what the game lasted 13 seconds...a game like that deserves a better name...
@WhelmedButReady3 жыл бұрын
Personally, I'll just call it "Mahomes vs Allen Part 2". Seeing as these two are destined to do this for the next decade at least barring major injury or a sudden collapse of the rosters around them.

You will just need to call it 13 seconds. No need to add game to it. Every football fan will know the reference. The irony of this game is Gabriel Davis had the game of his life. Guess what his uniform number is.

This may have not been the greatest NFL game ever(although I would put it Top 10), but this was without a doubt the greatest Divisional Round in NFL History. All 4 games decided on go-ahead plays, point differential was a mere 15pts, both #1 seeds were stunned, champs and the league's MVP went down at home and the greatest QB shootout of the century. Bravo to the NFL and everyone involved.

13 seconds game is a good name, but I kind of like "The Shootout." The last 13 seconds felt more important because it was so back and forth the last several minutes of the game. 13 seconds only seems to give KC credit too

Totally get what you’re saying about the Blake Bell pitch play and I agree that you need the ball in Mahomes’ hands there. However, watching the Chiefs all season, I get what Andy’s strategy was there. As you mentioned, the Chiefs have refused to run a QB sneak (with Mahomes) ever since he was injured in that Denver game. All year, Blake Bell has been our solution to that problem so it’s not like he hasn’t taken a snap before. The Chiefs have probably run a sneak with Bell 3 or 4 times this year. So my guess is that Andy called that play assuming the Bills would recognize it as a sneak and focus a majority of their defense toward the middle. Andy tried to throw in a wrinkle and instead run an option play to the outside hoping the Bills had committed to stopping the sneak. Turned out to be the wrong play but I definitely get why they did it and I don’t believe it’s just a random play out of left field. There was definitely some 5D chess going on with Reid and McDermott

OT rules - when a team scores a TD on the first drive, the other team gets a chance to score a TD but has to go for two. The game will be known as the 13 seconds game. This is all coming from a Buffalo fan. Go Bills!

The best overtime system is shockingly simple: Just keep playing the game. No coin flip. No kickoff. Treat it just like the end of the 1st or 3rd quarter. Next score wins.

If more than one defender intentionally holds or tackles a player without the ball after the two minute warning it is an unsportmanslike conduct penalty. Fifteen yards gets marked off and the clock is reset to whatever it was at the start of the play.

Hell no, the Bills have one of the best defenses in the league. Get a stop or force a field goal. We all love offense, but there is still two other facets of the game= defense and special teams. We shouldn’t give teams a chance because the defense didn’t execute.
