I actually agree with the statement that Gojo lost because he’s Gojo. Sukuna has a much bigger range including Shrine, Ten Shades and even the furnace he did not use. Gojo also only struggled once before against Toji against whom he lost. He had a much smaller learning curve when compared to Sukuna who fought against strongest generation of Sorcerers during his time. Also during the second part Gojo focused on killing Mahoraga which cost him the fight, since Sukuna absorbed the experience and learned the Ultimate Shrine slice, the World severer, which is spacial cutter. Gojo faith in his infinity is what caused him to loose, but he left behind a path to victory. With his death, the chipping game began.

Against Toji, Gojo actually lost because 1: He stayed up for 3 days straight and was exhausted. And 2: He was worried about the girl and Toji tricked him into thinking he was going after her.

Also, it should be noted that Gojo didn't have faith in his infinity, as most of the fight, his infinity didn't even help him since it got turned off in the shrine and when Mahoraga came out. The reason the last slash hit him, is because Sukuna used a binding vow to instantly spawn it on him, rather than shoot it like he normally does. Gojo would've dodged it if he didn't use the binding vow.

Bro sukuna was never at full when he fully reincarnated. He still had brain damage and half ce gone from gojo. Students been fighting weaker a sukuna the hold time. Yuji been hitting soul punches since he first started the fight with sukuna. We never seen full ce and no brain damage four sukuna.

Practically Sukuna was strongest when he fought Gojo, he was at 20 finger level. Means full power Sukuna. And in new chapters it was stated that Sukuna actually used a binding vow to defeat Gojo. Basically it was sneak attack. If not for it, Sukuna was gone.
